To Punggol, With Love

sorry to hear that you lost the tripod head, you walked across the drain? it's rather slippery, got to be really really careful! and those are really interesting finds, thanks for your updates :)

I saw some people line fishing there, one wore Phua Chu Kang boots and went down,
so I thought I do the same too.
Reason being, I had this:

It was indeed really slippery, if I fell and died there,
I will become the GHOST OF PUNGGOL liao.

Wow hazmee, first one is absolutely superb in my book!

Just some simple tone blending and processing in Photoshop. :)

Thanks Ortega and Amaninus for the good guide to drive to that opposite location #1. How about the other location, the one shown in Hazmee's post (Picture Number 2), anyone know?

So many cars there, anyone know how they drive to that location? Thanks.

you need to follow 17th Avenue (to Punggol Marina) and turn into the off road tracks some distance before Punggol Marina

on the map it's around 36 and 37

yes it is a fishing spot just beside punggol marina

Thanks again guys. Will check it out this weekend, then after that is car washing time

Which are locations in the map where you guys normally take macro? Thanks.

I visited Matilda House yesterday (Sunday), Locations 23-26.
Getting to Matilda House is rather easy, just hop on the NEL line to Punggol terminal station or take any bus to Punggol temporary Bus Interchange.
Plan your journey here, search by Landmark>Bus Interchange.
Just cross the Punggol Walk road and you will reach the plot where Matilda House sits.

Together we all promote Punggol mah... :bsmilie:

just kidding,
thanks to many people here and your map for the introduction to this place, then it made me love this so much.
i hope to share this with more people.
but a gentle note to all: please don't pollute the environment anymore with any potential rubbish. it pains to see bottles floating among the rocks at the coastal areas. :bheart:

so people, head on down, snap away and have fun!
;)

A second part to the same day shoot as the Matilda House.
I followed the LRT track leading towards the north and came to a diversion of tracks towards PW1 Sam Kee and PE7 Damai, I continued on under the track towards PW3 Punggol Point. I found Seventeenth Avenue easily since the tracks cut the avenue here, where the Northshore Bungalows are.
I then came to a plot of lalang field adored by wedding shooters and there were was diversion from the main road. The sandy dirt track leading north, brought me to a fishing point (Eikin, need to verify the location number here). Took some pictures of people doing casual fishing while some people drove off-road for some "in-vehicle" camping.
I headed back towards Seventeenth Avenue and continued on towards Punggol Marina Country Club (Location no.29), where I caught some live drifting action before I immerse myself in the fantastic beauty of sunset at Punggol Marina and Seventeenth Avenue Fishing Point.
