I believe Trend Micro has a free, web-based version for Mac OS X, but I've never tried it.
The only reason for which I think you'd ever need it is exchanging files with Windows users.
curious... can a Windows virus screw a Mac?
i'm using a Mac at home and Windows at the office and i transfer files between system regularly.
Hi guys,
This is the first time I tried to watch a DVD after I got my iMac.
However, as usual, the Mac DVD player allows only 5 times to set the DVD region. I have DVDs from the US, local, China, etc so this restriction is certainly a hinderance.
Does any of you know a way out of this to get region-free viewing?
I've downloaded VLC player but it doesn't seem to work well on my iMac. Makes a grinding sound as it tries to read the DVD without success.
Thanks for the help...
Try Xineplayer? http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3329Hi guys,

Just want to know where to buy additional RAM for the iMAC(late 09)? Thanks!
Thanks peterpan and germboi.
Peterpan: I've tried VLC. But it doesn't work well with my new iMac with Snow Leopard. When I tried to open my DVDs, the DVD player tried hard to read the disc and produced some repeated "grinding" sound which didn't sound nice. There's nothing wrong with my DVDs.
Germboi: Ok I will try Xineplayer. You using it? Any issues?
Region coding is definitely a bitch like you say. Whoever started it... I don't know what's on his or her mind. Don't they know we do watch DVDs from so many different countries? And I don't even have pirated ones!
can try SGL Marketing at SLS
or if you know the hardware, you can just buy from the PC shops
just stick to the branded RAM modules
Memory world also can
