I'm late to this...heh
but here's my viewpoint: For organised photoshoots, Control the suppliers. have a screening process of sorts. Face to face meeting first, they are paying a fee anyway to organise shoots and have it posted up near the top of the forum.
This will ensure better accountability.

Basically, the girls are clueless and the photographers just want to get their shooting on. The photoshoot organiser can act as a middleman while ensuring a certain standard in the shooting.

This way the organiser is responsible for ensuring the direction of the shoot, and taking care of both the photographers and girls to ensure they continue to run their business

We should make it as simple as possible for the photographers to enjoy their photography

I don't think you can control personal services offered very much, so I am not going to touch on that.

No point arguing about Averal

or am i way off the mark?.. :embrass:

its within their right to yes.

but i also think some guarantee is also needed for organisers. like rubber timers who turn up late holding up the shoot or those who cant make it & ask for a re-shoot.

ideally the outcome should be a win-win-win-win for CS itself, shoot organisers, models & photographers. that's a tall order. or am i an idealist? :sweatsm:

the biggest problem organizers face is the fact there are people who sign up and then back out when its time to pay when the organizer's gone ahead and made all the bookings liao.

maybe a rating system to track a participant's & models record for no-shows or last minute pullout? different rating system for standard of shoot organisers? so all parties are not shortchanged?

i think this long draw process despite the adminsitrative headache it posts will yield positive results for all involved in the long run. its no easy task, it will take some time (2-3 months from this date perhaps?) till this system is put into effect. meanwhile maybe the administrators should update on the progress to appease critics who may be "tiring of waiting" with no end in sight (not that we can "see" the progress literally).

have a pull out list for what? not gonna make a diff.

Too many tracking :P Anyway I doubt that such tracking of reputation will continue in CS. It was tried a while for MO organisers and the like, but was eventually abandoned.

As for participants pulling out, smart organisers should know how to manage that business risk. No need for CS to be a nanny state to baby everyone.

ok, i din know that...

Yea, I got around the top three ranked MO organisers at that time, but later they decided to pull the plug for other policy reasons :P

If they did for that, I'm pretty sure they won't do it for shoot organisers, models and participants - cos well, the problems of these groups of individuals will increase tenfold.

ok, i din know that...

ok, :flush: goes my suggestion...

That's why we need the organizers to speak out, let us know their position, their thoughts, what they intend to do..

Just saw the update from PE, lol black money? She's waiting for a defamation suit to hit her :)

None of the admins/mods closed it, cos we're still waiting for her apology.

She have logged in earlier, unrepentant, hence my suspension of her account.

I think we can close this thread and move on to improve the photo shoot section based on the suggestion here which members have taken much time and thoughts to pen down. The Admins and Mods truly appreciate them

Enough of rhetoric and time for action :)
