More power to you bro.

If you dont mind, do you have the exact procedure on how you such phots from scratch? Like from setup, shooting, composition, to post processing. Thanks in advance. All hands down to you.

I'm glad you asked. :) Composition plays an important part before even setting up. You gotta examine the scene first, roughly in your mind compose it so that it makes sense to what you're after. Why bracketed exposures/HDR because you want to highlight certain objects of subject in the scene that best compliments the overall picture, and that you want the audience to look at or, being "accompanied" with. That goes the same for post processing. :) Then set up tripod, camera and filters and the final adjustment begins.... Done, and you're ready to fire off. :D

Two shots of Changi Beach yet again. Simple shoot, doing this just to enjoy myself. :)

Struck

3 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed water effects. Changi Beach, Singapore.

Simple shoot from Changi. Don't expect anything fancy, or whatnot.

Outrageously Enraged

3 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + ND 0.6 hard graduated filter stacked for slightly darkened skies. Changi Beach, Singapore.

Here's the story: Stood there, shooting the waves to come, all are pretty small ones. Suddenly.... WHAM!!!! A big one came and splashed all over my chest, tripod, my filters and even my 7D.... ARGH!!!! My tripod sunken down to the soft sand and shifted its positions while I was creating bracketed exposures for this HDR. Had to restart my shoot from scratch all over again, and cleaned my ever expensive Lee filters. :D Thankfully my 7D still works despite water all over it.

The sun was also setting down quick, so that's why I ended up with only 3 exposures to play with.

I personally didn't like this shot as I wanted to show the full structure of the tree on the left, but there were other photographers and it wouldn't be nice if I stood in front of them or include them in the picture.

Yawn... I'm Bored

2 Image HDR/DRI from 0 to +2 EV using ND 0.6 hard graduated filter + Lee Big Stopper for smoothed water and sky effects. Sembawang Beach, Singapore.

There wasn't any sunrise today and the morning started off wet and gloomy. If you were there, the gloomy weather sets off a boring mood. And I found something boring to shoot...

View it in original or large size. Stare at it long enough. Aren't you bored looking at this picture? Because I am when I shot this. If you feel bored, I've succeeded passing on my emotions to you!!

Stick: "Hey you guys wanna do something today? Why don't you all come on down to the sea!"
Rocks: "No way, I've got lots of things to do, like.... Sitting here!"

Probable Future [Panorama]

6 Image panorama using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed sky and water effects. Taken from the Marina Bay Sands ground level, Singapore.

Chose a higher exposure bias to force achieve overblown highlights to the sky, for the sake to slightly enhance and exaggerate the brightness behind the contour of the skyline. Without having the buildings needlessly black as that "blurs" out its detail.

The building on the right is a dedicated Louis Vuitton shop. I love the reflections of the skyline on it. Its uncanny angle and reflections gives me an idea.

Harmonic Twilight

7 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed cloud and water effects. Lower Peirce Reservoir, Singapore.

The place where every photographer has been. Said to myself to check it out as I have yet to be there for the past couple of months. Not much has changed.

The sky wasn't really that good and I didn't see the sun set due to the ever obscuring clouds. So the blue hour has saved me.

On Cloud 9 [Vertorama]

6 Image DRI Vertorama using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed water effects. Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

The reflections were amazing in the early hours of the morning, and I didn't get a chance to see it when others have. So this is my own rendition. My idea was, to make Marina Bay Sands, "lost" or float as if "lost" in place and time... And as if on its own.

mind if i ask, what are the usual timings u go for ur photoshoots??

early evening or mid noon??

Hi Alan, thanks for your query. :)

My usual timings are in the early morning (dawn) and the evening till sunset, (dusk) are some of the best timings of the day because of the transitioning from night to day, and from day to night. :)

Last one for the weekend... Taken this Sunday morning.

Singapore Dreaming

7 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Lee Big Stopper for smoothed water and cloud effects, with exposures ranging from 120, 320 and 640 seconds. Marina Bay Gardens, Singapore.

Tried out a newly opened park that sits along the coast line, noticed really pretty views of the city. Thank goodness for the stillness of the water in the early hours of the morning...

That place is epic. It's not only beautiful but there are many macro attempts too! I shot butterflies, flowers and everything else I could find.

Thanks. =) Well as in put pictures together to create a HDR? Or how do I compose them?

It's behind the scenes time!!!

Lee Big Stopper seem to cause a bit of a colour cast of blue.... Hmm....
