yes the latest series is exceptional, love the last piece, the fog really adds to it. Cheers

Another beautiful piece. Oh how I itch to shoot some landscapes! Ah well, as my sergeant used to say, "everyday got 25 hours! Time is for you to find gentlemen!"

Hey thanks alot man. That makes it all worthwhile. :) I'm still in love with the Changi shot you took. :)

Don't worry man, I guess you and I are on the same boat looking for time too!! :) When you're free, I'm busy. But when I'm free, people are busy, and perhaps you're free... Don't worry, 9 - 10 more months to ORD I will say, "Where got time?! NOW got time!" :D

Chase My Blues Away

Single RAW image, using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Hoya NDX400 9 stop filter, cropped and did mild editing in Photoshop, lightroom (mainly to remove noise) and nothing else; Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Noise removal I say? Yeah, someone used my camera before handing it over to me, turned off the noise reduction settings without myself knowing it. Only to discover after shooting this. =(

Vignetting seems a little strong though, I didn't add it... If it were HDR/DRI bracketed exposure I'd definitely correct the top and bottom corners with the higher exposed 2/3 stops,
but it seem to add emphasis on the center. Happens all the time anyway, for most of my shots.

Went there for a wedding event at one of the condos nearby, so while waiting for the bride and groom, I snapped myself a simple shot here. Too bad I didn't get to explore more angles for it.

Simple, common shot though. Nothing fancy for today...

SoulFLY, if it weren't for your cropping ideas and your support, it wouldn't have come this far. :) Thanks!

Immensity

5 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed fog effects. Sembawang Stateland, Singapore.

Another day with another beautiful morning on a beautiful, not well known part of Singapore... Good ol' Sembawang.

Yep, every once awhile a photographer should shed his skin for something new and not the same ol' thing again and again. ;)

Haha, I will upload the Behind the Scene shot for this, look closely and you can see the MRT line going to Sembawang beside it. :D :D

Favourite Place, Barricaded

5 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Hoya NDX400 9 stop filter for smoothed smoke and water effects. Sembawang Beach, Singapore. Colour temperature adjusted to 5400K due to very a strong overwhelming sunlight warmth in the area.

Went there for a morning shoot, only to discover it was barricaded. =( So much for spoiling the landscape, coast guard police!

Well guys, I will be back in 3 weeks. I'm off to Australia for my army training. For some of you may know Exercise Wallaby. :) hahaha. Finally, no more irritating updates every week!!! LOL. Take care everyone, that plane's leaving in 1430 hours....

Hi Stefan, take care and see you soon..:)

Well I'm back... :) I took over 2000+ photos... I'm not allowed to upload them as it has alot of SAF stuff in it.

Anyway, two shots from where I just came back from. Rockhampton, Australia. It's crazy to make a separate thread for just 2 landscape images out of 2000+ pics, and I have done that before for Japan, so just enjoy it. :)

Lush

3 Image HDR/DRI using Lee ND 0.6 hard graduated filter + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed cloud and water effects. Rockhampton Beach, Australia.

A pleasant beach on a pleasant morning for a sunrise with my fellow friends. Sorry if the grass is kinda "soft" looking because of the 70 second shutter speed + strong winds blowing against me...

6308889468_5df6d90706_b.jpg

The Lieutenant

- 5 seconds shutter speed for standing position,

- 3 Image HDR/DRI with shutter speed of 90 and 145 seconds using ND 0.9 soft graduated + Hoya NDX 400 9 stop filter for smoothed cloud effects,

- 2 Image DRI from 0 to +1 EV for tire tracks.

Rockhampton Beach, Australia.

Probably one of the most complicated shoots ever, it's impossible for anyone to stand perfectly still for nearly 150 seconds. I wanted to achieve a sense of stillness yet the ever-changing rapid movement of its surroundings; the clouds in this case. Therefore, 6 images of different shutter speeds and aperture settings were blended and mapped in this shot.

To be a Lieutenant, one has to go through tough training, to build courage, leadership, and undergo decision making scenarios to achieve the rank he wants in the military as an effective leader to inspire his men to push on victorious, because he did. The cross tracks represent the tough training underwent. The sky, victory.

Credits to Lieutenant Daron Ang for standing still for 5 seconds!! No military uniform was used however.

Anyway, two images.... that's all I have to share from my 3 week stay in Rockhampton Australia - SAF style... hahaha.

Now back to the main topic! More Singapore landscapes coming up!!!!! Stay tuned till the weather turns better!!! ;p

salut to the lieutenant..superb shot, i like it

but a nit-pick as always :bsmilie:: the waves were at faster shutter, this is inconsistent with the clouds above as far as movement is concerned. of course you can create different interpretation for that 'fault' ;)

Ah, good point pointing that fault! Let me see if I could fix that! :) Thanks!

EDIT: FIXED!!!! :D

Heaven Sent

Was toying around with my EOS 7D's AI Servo + 100-400mm lens with this awesome bird. Lens locked on to the seagull as I panned with it, waited for the moment for it to follow through the sun rays, snapped the shot, and it created those lens flare effects.

7D has an awesome AI Servo & AF system, money well spent!! =)

Excellent thread.

What I like best is your attitude & open sharing of information
