Very interesting camera to have as a second backup body... I was wondering if Sony would release another version of the NEX with full DSLR features but in that very small form factor... bet it will sell like hot cakes...
Wow you have an A900 and also a 7D? I think these days very different from the past when everyone tended to just stick to one camera system.
I will probably stick to my Nikon system because I've been using Nikons since 1992 but I wonder if Sony will come out with a prime lens stable for their E-mount cameras. I want a 30/F2 and a 58/F1.4 for the NEX for a nice 45mm and 85mm range. It'll be perfect with a 16/2.8, 30/2 and 58/1.4.
im guessing it's a Minolta 7D![]()
It will be nice to see the forward timeline of the new lenses planned for NEX, pairing it with Primes and if it is small not necessarily have to be pancake but small enough would be nice to have.Wish to have that too. And sure will be my 2 back up body mainly for prime lenses....Not sure if 50mm f1.4 E mount will be out or 85mm or even the 135mm. Will be awesome if sony would come out those lenses just for E mount... :bsmilie:
This is not new... that's how it is done with large lenses. And shooting with this tiny cameras and a large zoom, I suppose we have to invent a new way of shooting pictures... like left hand to hold the lens and the other to press the shutter release button?

Wow without their own 4/3 system, Sony can come up with a viable alternative that quickly. Will Canon and Nikon jump on this bandwagon as well? Seems like very likely every manufacturer will have to field a representative in this segment.
For the army of SG photographers with plenty of Canon and Nikon legacy prime lenses, should they get the Sony, or wait??????????????????????????? How long will Canon take?
I suppose, like their D5000 or all their latest DSLR Nikon can go and buy up these Sony sensors, chuck in their own software and lens mount (though with electronic mount, maybe the design cannot accept any convetnional lens mount, but then Nikon can just incorperate the lens adapter into the camera body) to make their own version, so they can make it relatively quickly.
