Not sure if there's something wrong with my wrist, but i feel a huge stress on my wrist when following the correct method.

So 1 more vote for the wrong way! :bsmilie:

yea.. the right hand seems to twist way too much...

Actually if you tuck your right hand elbow in real tight , the right wrist will be just 90 degrees perpendicular to the elbow , which gives much better support and quite comfortable heh.

Heh funny how this post evolved to camera position haha .

I value my arm.

I'd rather risk looking bad in front of pros. And anyway, for stability the cam'd be resting on my left arm.

Wrong Method!

But anyway back to the Nex . I think concerns on egronomics shouldnt be a big deal. Hope the production models will be out in sony style soon ! wana feel nex 3,5 hands on

yea i want wait to try them out too..
one thing that needs to be confirmed is how confusing the menu system really is..

and how hard is it to set aperture, shuttlespeed, exposure compensation and ISO on the fly..

As Sony has taken pains to emphasise, they meant this to be an upgrade to PnS, i.e. improved image quality in auto mode. In return for the compactness, some of the standard features on a DSLR will not be as readily accessible.
However, if you still have those urges, wait for the NEX7, maybe after us guinea pigs buy the NEX3 and 5, they will have enough "experience" to launch their "serious" compact. Bear in mind they are trying not to cannibalise their lower end A2xx sales but rather to tap the PnS upgraders who would never consider a DSLR in its traditional form.

Yup..agree, otherwise the hundreds of millions who are using PnS in similar chassis designs will be struggling with their cameras !
:)

Hi, NEX7 will be in Sep/Oct with a new APS-C sensor to improve video to 1090p.

Why not? I'm selling it off to benefit someone who wants a full-sized DSLR but not willing to pay premium prices for a new model... it's still fully capable, just not so vogue anymore... I only upgraded cos I like wide-angle and so went full frame with the A900. Otherwise I would not have upgraded until it conked out on me...
I still like my 7D... wished it will magically transform into a Fullframe.. haa

hopefully their nex 7 will be same form factor as ne 3/5 and not similar to the panny g1/gh1/g2/10 form factor

Me too bro. After using the A700 or most of the time, I took my 7D out for a spin recently and boy I rekindled the love for this gem. It would be a damn solid cam if it's FF.

In this modern days, whoever that comes out with an outstanding product will definitely sell well. Brand loyalty is no more.

The product itself is a good testimonial. However, not many companies are consistent in coming out with good product in recent years...it seems the good people who designed and produced good products are doing musical chairs and being head-hunted by different companies consistently. :)

The only concern to me is lens. Don't how long it'll take sony to come out good lens like G and CZ for DSLR.

Just the A mount adaptor lor, you can use the existing A-mount lens liao. Pano with 16-35CZ? Hmm...

Same here, 16mm is kinda weird.

Doesn't that defeat the whole point of having a small mirrorless camera? :)
