It wont (unless sony close shop). This is the way of life and its the same with every product.. ipad 3, mini ipad, mobile phones, tablets, ultrabooks, cars, clothes, internet speed, yada yada yada....

Buy what u need/can afford as there will always be new product within months from your purchase.

I think it makes sense for 5N owners to upgrade to 6 for its built in EVF, faster AF, wifi and new 1650 portable kit lens. And its cheaper than 7 while in fact has more features yet only sacrifice on megapixel count which I think more people would actually prefer the legendary 16mp one instead.

For 5N upgraders to 5R, not so much improvements unless die die must have wifi.

From my research so far, 5R and 6 should be identical sensors, difference is only in functions / features:

NEX-6:
- EVF
- PASM dial
- standard hotshoe
- built in flash
- no touch screen, can only flip up 90 degrees
- AEL button
- plastic body

NEX-5R
- flip up LCD to 180 for self portrait
- touch screen
- Sony NEX accessory port
- metal shell body like 5N (I think)

I had a feel of both cam for 5mins last night at HN Center Point. just to share some of my tot:

NEX6
Like: the feel as the body slightly bigger, external dial mode
Dislike: built in flash

NEX5R
Like: Touch screen, external flash
Dislike: smaller body, no dial mode

just my 2cent. If you really need the EVF and dial mode (or maybe grip feeling) go for the NEX6. if not can save about $250 get the 5R. with slight top up on the $250 can get a Sigma 30mm.

Got pro & con using FB. First quote from FB is $1,265 and later when I call ask the boss he told me another price $1,280. I told him about FB quote and he said just follow there then.

Aiyah, this euphoria only temporary lah. By mid to end Dec I predict should have more stock. To those like me getting the 5R or 6 to chill if no stock.

I hate it to see local shop take this to up prices but anyway can also get at Sonystyle but at SRP.
