Haha thanks bro. I got my fair share of poor weather during shoots too especially recently.
But you got the time to explore, you are the true singapore wanderer!

Hahaha.. nahh.. I'm not up to be a true Singapore wanderer. There are still many places in SG with potential yet to be explored.

Talking about the weather, I like to make my exploration at nite on my bike, hence the mobility but darn it, the weather drenched me time and time again. :bsmilie:

Anyway, I'll be heading to sentosa cove in abit... see whether that place is picture worthy. :D

Keep those wonderful pictures coming!! (got time can visit where you've visited too) :bsmilie:

Cheers!

Speaking of bad weather. I was inspired by your labrador shot and decided to try my luck there. The first time I went, it was super cloudy and the sun decided to play hide and seek with me. Ended up with only 1 successful shot.. Sigh.. The second time I went, it poured!!! Oh well..

Hi emlee

These balls were the ones people write their wishes and dreams for the next coming year. Full of them!

Raghnall, one good shot is all that you need. Sometimes I dun get any at all :bsmilie:

U were around the Esplanade area too? It started to rain at about 1.45am. I had to run for to take cover as I was afraid my camera would get wet.

Anyway, I guess December's skies are usually cloudy. Not surprising to be in a game of hide n seek with the sun. I went to Labrador too when Ryan posted his picture but again, was disappointed as it was super high tide + skies damn cloudy.

Woohooo!!! Beautiful!!

Love it man!!!

Oh no.. I wasn't there on Fri.. I think it was a Mon or Tues? I was driving down when it started to drizzle..:(

Nice! I haven't been to town in a while.. LOL.. Guess I should do that on Monday.. Heh..;p

Ragnall actually a tripod is not allowed in wheelock. I finished the shot and shortly the nice security uncle kindly told me that tripods would be inconveniencing others ( I was actually back against a wall ) You might be able to do with a handheld shot wide angle with cropping.

Here is a shot of sunset of our CBD area at Singapore river, taken just when the sun crossed the horizon. A panorama of 6 shots stitched

oh no, I just did a few shots there on 23rd Dec with my tripod, and almost right in the middle of the 2 escalators! guess I was lucky.

Yea you are emlee. I did not have a chance to retake or explore other angles. The wheelock shot was possibly the fatest panorama I made so far :bsmilie: . It was the first thing that caught my attention the moment I stepped into the wheelock place.

the water in the last shot, is it possible to expose for a longer exposure? or will there be stitching errors, etc? looks relatively still, might have been able to get nice reflections.

i think the saturation is a wee, wee bit overdone in this last one.. :) beautiful colors, nonetheless.

Thanks night86mare for your feedback. Might be an issue with the current newer panels on the new terminal I am using. Having some color inconsistencies and darkness / brightness issues of late.

Having a longer shutter speed might be feasible, I might try that nxt time especially when there are no balls around. Stitching is an interesting thing in longer exposures especially in changing lights. I had quite bad stitch inconsistencies in Macritchie in my last trip was when the wind changed direction halfway and the very fine water details changed direction in the middle frame. The other potential issue I had was with 2-3 min exposures where the lighting changed from one end of the frame to the other.

But it is definitely worth a shot getting calmer waters. Might redo it with my newer setup next yr :bsmilie:

Lovely lovely picture Ryan. Urmm, may i say that maybe your saturation may be been a little bit over-done. But still, lovely lovely picture.

That strict at Wheelock? Perhaps u unlucky to meet with that security uncle. :D

So what other locations do you have in mind?
