Many thanks for your thoughtful input zoossh, I am always appreciative of your comments. I have seen Eikin's wonderful pieces before. His and your thought process behind each shot is beautiful ( i never really noticed his color and processing before though ) . I see your points on the colors and the red bit of edge. My greatest bug for the photo was the semi cropped lotus on the top that I could not have removed or included more

When i am out of gas i tend to make safer shots like # 137. Of course now you got me deliberating if the mundaneness of the shot was worthy of posting .. Infact I was just chatting with lkkang yesterday night regarding the same cbd shot that i was hoping some interesting foreground subject might have made the shot less flat.

after a while, u will get more critical of yourself than others. since u have moved ahead over that stage, u will be looking forward at another standard u know u can achieve. i have a lot of flat images, so if i get better like u, i will start to take away my flat images. ;p

i'm not so much a fan for citiscape, plus i'm not good at it either. my thoughts is that the foreground interest needs to blend in in terms of colors and tones, secondly, it needs to be of a certain volume, otherwise it will seem like an unwanted distraction that is included out of no choice, like a lampost or a tree. it sounds difficult to me. but i'm sure u will try, and that by itself will allow breakthrough.

and the main thing is that the reason why #137 looks so mundane is becos.... u put it along the sequences of many great shots, that is very different from that shot, in terms of mood and quality.

While i have taken a few shots of the Bay Sands hotel prior to completion, this was the first time I grabbed it in its completion

Wow. Aliens invading :bsmilie:. Beautiful sky!

Actually they are actually the spotlights of the ION building. But they appeared diffused from within the OOF areas :bsmilie:

Haven got much time to shoot other than the last NZ trip, even more tied up with work than ever. which might not be a bad thing

Here goes an old pano taken in Chinatown quite some time back on a cloudy evening :)
