Hi luffs thx for dropping ur comments. retrospectively i might have oversaturated a little.

I got a couple of places in mind, one of which is shooting sunset over JB ( short of crossing bringing my passport. ) still in the process of thinking where i can make such a shot. Any idea ?

I may know where u have in mind. From there, u'll be able to see the causeway rite?

As for ideas, I'm really lack of it. Is currently doing some research online as I intend to go out real early later in the morning and start shooting.. Thing is, no idea of where or wad to take.

Having a longer shutter speed might be feasible, I might try that nxt time especially when there are no balls around. Stitching is an interesting thing in longer exposures especially in changing lights. I had quite bad stitch inconsistencies in Macritchie in my last trip was when the wind changed direction halfway and the very fine water details changed direction in the middle frame. The other potential issue I had was with 2-3 min exposures where the lighting changed from one end of the frame to the other.

yeah, that's what i thought about too

had problems with panos (though none as nice as yours) when shooting the city of arts and sciences in valencia. wind direction or strength change = water funny

A shot from a totally uninspired day at Chinese garden. Maybe better luck next time
Tilted stitched. 85mm was abit too long and I had to stand all the way back on a slope to shoot. If only i got a 45mm ...

This is really nice.. Just felt that the lighting flare is a little distracting..

I like the soft-effect u got here in this photo.
Was the camera set to use Neutral?

Noobie QN: Is it your Tilt Lens that is creating the toy-like effect on the building?
Its amazing... :D

Whats that !

Unfortunately the girl on the right was short of the plane of focus

This is really nice...

Thx ragnall. Ever considered getting a PCE lens ? :bsmilie:

But manual focusing with a thin dof when ur subject is walking around the street is not the most convenient. Missed a couple of shots because of misfocusing...

Surprise !
A dad getting his son to get a nice pose of himself.

( The eyes didn fall smack into the focusing plane, i guess i need to work more on manual focusing . From the picture you can tell roughly where the plane of focus was tilted
- New moon, subject's face, the back of the kid )

Been itching for it.. It gets worse every time I see your T/S shots.. ;p Haha.. But kinda blew my budget when I recently acquired the 70-200mm lens.. :o The price of Nikon PCE lens aint cheap!! It's either I save up for one and get it at the end of the year or hunt for a third party alternative.. Heh.. :)

hey hey.. i see u're getting used to ur new toy!! Great series!!

Well, as far as I know, there issin much of cheaper third party alternatives to achieve tilt shift with infinity focus for the F mount short of the russian T/S lenses. Happy shooting raghnall, your 70-200mm is a black beauty, one of my all time fav zoom!

I like this~ Really isolate the father and daughter and the wide perspective is nice~

Thanks Yapster brudder. Hope u finally nailed this morning's sunrise shot erh ... Letme see you got an hour more sleep compared to the day before

Haha, didn't manage to crawl out today. We cannot brew the "BBB antidote" after 12 midnight la. After 12 am, i can only wake up at 8 on a day that i am not working. ;p

Another wonderful tilted-stitched.

You have caused many, me included, to entertain the thought of getting a TS lens.
