Your panos and T/S shots never cease to amaze me :)

Really wall-worthy photos Ryan

Thanks Gavin ;)

Haha, didn't manage to crawl out today. We cannot brew the "BBB antidote" after 12 midnight la. After 12 am, i can only wake up at 8 on a day that i am not working. ;p

That antidote is still left uncompleted erh. Difficult to brew

Another wonderful tilted-stitched.

You have caused many, me included, to entertain the thought of getting a TS lens.

Thanks ahbian. There are actually cheaper and better alternatives to do that for an EOS mount short of getting a T/S lens

Here goes another

Looks rather painful holding a PnS erh

You mean by photoshop? Or we can do it in camera?

No not photoshop or other post processing.

EOS has a shorter flange to focal plane than most of the 35mm competitors and is pretty lens adaptable. I revised my setup using an EOS-Mamiya T/S adapter with a set of mamiya primes ( unfortunately not mechanically possible for F mount because not enough space to machine the tilt mechanism, they only make a shift only adapter . Zoerk makes an exceedingly expensive T/S adapter that works with Nikon that allows infinity focus only at the more telephoto focal lengths ). Total setup of my adapter + a few primes cost me less than getting a single new T/S or PC lens and you get more focal length flexibility with no compromise in IQ.

PM me if u need more assistance on this :) Will post up some pics to illustrate if time permits.

Hi thanks Velasco

Here is the Mirex T/S adapter for EOS mount I was referring to :

u r a Canon user yea ? :bsmilie:

For the price of one new T/S lens, I can get a few good old Mamiya primes and adapt them.

I would love to DIY one myself. It will be lots of fun, but the problem of achieving infinity focus within the small working distance of the adapter is a nightmare unless I get the help of a machinist.

Taken in the earlier part of the day when the sun was setting.
Tilted and stitched. Might not be everyone's cup of tea

Thanks Eugon. The " model like " effect was a result of tilting the lens with a tilt / shift lens.
Or in the later examples, lens tilted with a tilt shift adapter.

Hoho, i only got 50mm~ sianz, missed my 35mm f2...

Ryan, would you be able to elaborate or provide an example of how a tilt shift adapter works with our kit lens?
how much would an average tilt shift lens cost and would it be difficult to operate.

thanks a million, you have lots of great pieces. The hokkaido ones are a gem.

Thanks still quite a few jap shots unposted

The adapter needs a lens with larger image circle than a normal 35mm lens, and in this instance, it works only with medium format lenses ( my adapter takes mamiya prime lenses - which probably dun cost more than some of the typical consumer kit zooms :bsmilie: )
The average cost of a nikon / canon T/S lens will cost much more.

Digging out another shot, 35mm f3.5

Hi Ryan,

Would you be able to share your setup with me. Indeed, they are, i have done a search on TS lenses and the Nikon ones are at least 3k, thats abit costly for someone like myself who has justed photography. Thanks
