Interested in this lens.
Anyone can advise which shop selling at $7xx ?

The quote of $744 was from SLRR. Parisilk quoted about $20 more. But this was when I called more than a month ago. So perhaps it would be good to call and check on the current price before going to the store.

It's local set..cash price...I've verified with them and was abt to purchase however decided not to..but like how SLRrevo is..there isn't any stock for the mount that I want..

What they quoted was inclusive of GST for a local set.

The grey set of the same lens is going for $670 at artworkfoto.

Wow, the price difference is more than $100. I bought mine from MS for about $890 about a year ago. Most other shops like AP, J316 etc were going around the same price plus minus $20-30 max.

Wonder how SLRR can offer so low. :think: Im a little skeptical with the ties they have with Bally.

Does the set come with 2 warranty cards? 1 for international and 1 for local? There should be a "Sigma Marketing (S) Pte Ltd" chop on the international card as well.

When I send my set for calibration with Sigma, the lady at the reception say that the set must include both warranty cards and receipt in order to have valid warranty with them.....

Check the warranty period. The lens you got might be the 'newer' batches with 2.5 years warranty - 1 international + 1 year local + 6 months additional for online registration. The local warranty card should show something like “6 months extended warranty for online registration”

I have an older siggy that has only 1+1 local warranty. That might explain the difference in price. If it is, for an extra $100 for 6 months warranty maybe worth it. Anyway, you have already bought it so enjoy it lah. Gong Xi Fa Cai~

I didn't check the warranty card coz I didn't buy..but was told that it's 2 1/2years warranty..I think parisilk is selling at $764...

Same here. I called Sigma Singapore to check on the stores from which I'd received quotes to make sure they carry the lens with local warranty. And I was told that the warranty is 2.5 years (including the extra half year when registering online).

Amazon is selling us$480/s$630 and i just check with Sigma USA the Amazon set comes with 1yr warranty (including international) plus 2 yr extended USA warranty.

Still considering to get it now or wait for my next business trip. :sweat:

It was shot in color and converted to b&w. Play with the contrast and brightness a little.

Glad you like it. This was taken with a light blue graduated filter. Played with contrast and enhanced the colors. Thats about all.
