You can use LA-EA1 or LA-EA2.

LA-EA1 can only AF SSM/SAM lens, but its super slow. For lens without SSm/SAM, only manual focus is available.

LA-EA2 will allow NEX to use all minolta, sony lens with AF. This adapter will turn the NEX into a SLT , as it will use PDAF on the adapter in stead of CDAF.

To be honest, $30 is negligible if u consider the price of the camera.

Unless you want to take the risk of having no stock for another few weeks just to save that $30.

$30 more is still the cheapest in Singapore. I would grab it in a heart beat. Even my regular dealer wouldn't sell it to me at that price. The next one on the reservation list would definitely thank you for opting out.

The 18-55 is a decent zoom lens. The 18-250 is decent too. Then there's the A-mount lenses too.

"zoom" is meaningless. Please specify the focal length you are looking for.
