Sharing a pair of rare Lethe europa malaya (Bamboo Tree Brown) shot in the last couple of days.

This butterfly stays close to Bamboo cluster which is its hostplant. It is one of the most difficult butterfly to shoot due to the cluttered nature of its habitat and also it is very alert with a wide safety distance . At most time the photographer would be lucky to be able to approach him within 2 meters.

Terry ,

 Congratulation for nailing this elusive butterfly. ... That is a very good shot of the The Dark Blue Jungle Glory!

Many who have been shooting butterflies a number of years have yet to encounter or shoot one.

You lucky devil !!! Barely a few weeks into serious butterfly hunting and you got it nailed!!
