I understand it's not a problem with the later models of Rolleiflexes or Rolleicord that use the Synchro-Compur shutters. And with earlier shutter types, the main limitation was not to change shutter speed to 1/500 after cocking.

Well, I find that limitation of not being able to change shutter speeds after cocking as restricting ... YMMV. I guess it is safer to buy new Seagulls rather than 2nd hand since it's more or less affordable, and one never knows if the previous owner mishandled it
