[A sight that was funny, not to the Sherpas, but to the Sua-kus among our team. Every body whipped out their cameras.. except, Oops... SereneXMM hadn't got her camera with her. But true to the spirit of a hard-core photographer, she quickly whipped out her iPhone and did what she did best! Hmmm... I could see that of all these people, the smartest was Judith. She was using the best camera in the world to capture this scene - her own pair of eyes!

vngks - tempted but not cross the threshold la..
from the corner of my eyes, i could vaguely make out adrian's blood shot eyes and tousled hair... And i guess he probably was suffering from low altitude sickness, much like many of us who were already missing the highlands of namche. Still, he must be one of the trek leaders with the most initiative in personally counting the number of room keys and doing an express check out for everyone.
Diviinemoment is holy man.. I can only think of "5911", "1113", "5913", etc.. all 4-D numbers for the weekend.. limwhow, next time used vngks's f1.2 and try and capture only 4 digitals la.. make it easier for me to to decide which 4-D number to buy la.. hehehhee

You Dzopkyo shot is most apt, showing not only the animal face on, but in the background, the curvy wurvy suspension bridge from where it came with the Sherpas walking still on the bridge.

Day 9: Back to the yellow waters and congested air of the city...
Whatever was the case, a great trek must come to an end. As we all sat down for a very early breakfast in Namaste Lodge, in several of our hearts, the seeds for a repeat trip were sowed. Perhaps some would describe this trek as a love-hate relationship, and others would see it as simply exhilarating a break from the monotony of city-living. But what I saw that morning sitting on my breakfast table was a unique specimen of expanded dough called Tibetan bread. Hmmm... Sherpa-ian Tibetan bread, I told myself.
Mmm... it tasted crispier and sharper than the rock-hard Tibetan bread (Clickable link)we all had in our earlier adventure in Jiuzhaigou.
The Namaste Lodge was located in a strategic position. We didn't have to worry about making it in time or being late for the plane. It was only about 5-7 minutes walk from the Lukla Airport. All we had to do was to sit and relax in the dining hall and sip hot coffee, or hot tea....
When the plane finally arrived, everybody could hear its engine roar. And that was a signal for us to pick up our luggage and start walking to the airport. We bid a (almost) teary farewell to our porters and we left Binot in the lodge (he was going up with another team to EBC right after this), and walked up the slope and down the wall to go through another confusing maze of security check (or lack of it). Here was a record shot, merely a record shot of the airport runway from the building itself.
What I actually wanted to show was the picture of the plane with the nose being covered in black, on the right side of the photo. Yupe, that was the one. Saw it? Yes, this plane was apparently the one that managed to 'crash'-land on that day when our Team 1 failed to land from Kathmandu to Lukla. And this plane suffered a bruised nose in the process of landing. Wah... so scary hor, in thinking back...?
The flight back was boringly uneventful. And we found ourselves back in the warmth and comfort of Hotel Vaishali, Kathmandu where we were about three and a half hours too early for check-in. But it was fine, for many of us went jalan-jalan around to buy last minute trekking shirts, trek-pants and to visit Stevewhy's trekking accessory shop, opened by none other than our good Stevewhy.... :bsmilie:. Here's a candid shot of our organisers...

Always a sucker for the timeless-ness of B/W.. mountain always a good subject and you have also the right subjects and back light.. swee..swee..
Vignetting done on purpose?.. a little too much.. slight banding noticible.. but still very swee, swee... (I dont even have a pic at Everest, who am I to make noise.. hehhehee)

Adrian always takes the lead of the group, and Melvin always sweep the back for those lagging behind. Thus a shot by Melvin will invariably have some of us slow-moving ones in it. So this shot is by Adrian lor... Am I wrong?

I was taken aback by the load on the Sherpa Porters (definitely MORE than 20kgs).. didn't even notice that Ang Moh.. Adrian.. PP the Ang Moh away please.. (he is a distraction.. hehheheee)
