Yeah if you use them, throw in some silica gel. But dunno if really airtight or not? Or put them in your digicabi.

I just found my old earphones but still cannot find my old discman.

yo brudder .... I said "MOLD" la....NOT "mould" :bsmilie:

I never said the phones is mouldy ...like bread...I said like pelican case, the black box has a mold to fit the phones nicely in the box after use :p

But you said our climate cause these things to deterioate very fast? I am implying to that. Not mold.:bsmilie:

when I went shopping for the headphone, I first checked out the HD5xx series which were hanging from those racks. Then I casually asked: "oh what about the HD600?" the fellow eyes open up and run to the backroom and came back with this big black box, straight away I know pocket pecak lobang liaoz :bsmilie: and then I tested it. Sh!t, instantly $$ flew out of the lobang :) cannot resist buying even though it was close to double the price of HD590.

eh we better open a HD600 thread otherwise the threadstarter come and :kok: us

oh that ah .... I meant that the 'cushion' headband pad deterioates such that the 'cushion' or air in the head band ..loses it's "spongi-ness" ;p ...this happens to BILLINGHAM camera bags too ...some of the bag's dividers and pads turned 'flat' and 'sticky' due to our climate...... My ear cups are still ok tho

However, BILLINGHAM had done their homework and research. So, their new bags will not have such problem liao  ... not sure about SENN whether they have improved their new series or HD 650

I think most cushion will go flat over time due to usage. The pressure will flatten it esp if you hang your headphones. I keep them lying flat in the drawer when not in use.

I not sure bout Senn and what they did thou.

ok. Thanks for the info.

Guess I will go for MX500 white to couple with my ipod video. I prefer bass more than treble. :)

Hung bros at SLS. Funan's Challenger have. They displayed at their ipod section. Just saw them last week. Ironically, i started this thread about white mx500 and now it arrived, i did not buy it. :bsmilie: Sian liao.

To me, i prefer mx500 to 550 cos it have better bass and built quality.. 550 is clearer and has more treble.

If you're near northern SG, try: http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=3923

anybody can tell if the MX500 is better than the original IPOD ear phones? In terms of quality, base output, clarity, etc?? Kam sia.

I second this. My iPOD nano's earpiece hasn't been opened yet, still in it's box since I use my MX500 or HD590 all the time

Thanks bro. but is there a reason?
I'm not sure...maybe because MX500 bass is better while MX550 has better treble? For all I know, Hung Brothers at SLS don't let you try out the earphones till after payment is made, so you can't make comparisons there...

just got the MX500 from challenger Funan and realised the connector is "L" type instead of the straight type. How about yours?

The picture at page1 shows straight type leh... :dunno:

The one at page1 is the new design...the blue MX500 is L type

I just bought the MX500 white edition for my Missus and can confirm that it is a very good buy, value for money.

I find the bass not more powerful but certainly tighter... the clarity is amazing when you compare with the iPod earphones. all the details of background instruments are apparent and clearly defined and you hear things you never did with the default earphones.
