After putting the MX500 to test, I find that it doesn't leak sound, unlike my HD590 that really leaks sound (cos the speakers for the HD590 are on the outside)afbug said:No it doesn't shut out external noise and it leaks sound.
Passive noise cancel phones are the Sony EX51/71/81, Panasonic RP-HJE50 and Audio Technica ATH-CK5. These are avaliable in SG.
If you want active noice cancelling head/earphones, you can try the Sennheiser, Audio Technica or Sony websites for more info. These are costly.
