1st E-System with HD video! wow.... wish the smaller siblings like E620 (if they will continue these series) will have such features also...

now the question... is E-5 for me??? hahaha the price might put me off but let's see how it goes... cant wait for the release

Cudn't agree more. According to the 43rumor site, doing video & at 720 30fps is the new feature. But this has been around for like 1 1/2 yrs ago le. Also now everyone is doing "Full HD" 1080 liao. ALAMAK!! Another thing.... 12MP??!! Oh man, i thot they wud at least use the new Panny 14MP sensor.

So what happens to the killer new feature & the new Kodak sensor that's been touted? Hope the surprise is still there & not juz hot gas hyping up :bsmilie::bsmilie:

I seriously doubt that the E-3 replacement will be announced as rumoured. I could be wrong though...

If it is 12MP with 5 stops (highlight) and 7 stops (shadow) of DR, then it is something. Even 4.5 + 5.5 is good enough.

Who needs to use a 18MP camera when you have 12MP with great DR and colour accuracy?

12mp is alright with me if it has good dynamic range and low noise.The Nikon D3s has 12 mp and the results are fantastic. I just hope they'll improve the frame-rate and AF. The 11pt AF sensor sounds like it is from the E-3/E-30.

I'm okay with compromises as long as it doesn't look like compromises have been taken. People complained about the E-1 numbers and yet, the reality of the body was so much more. Had they also provided a cheaper body with most of the technology, they might have had a larger audience and a greater hold on the current market.

Fame rate I somehow recall that it is 8fps, or its for some other camera, 11 AF Point might be the same from E-3/E-30 but refined, otherwise,they're in a way,asking for a whooping :bsmilie:

I don't really own a 4/3 camera, but I am interested in potential DSLR systems.

One thing for certain though: If Olympus cannot make a camera at the least comparable to, if not better than, the Pentax K-7 or K-X, something is seriously wrong.

Pull out last min again means more wooden block mock up. Like my little girl's imagination play HAHAHAHA!!!

The GH1 has a bigger sensor than the norm 43, also it offers true aspect ratio with 2x crop perspective with it bigger, not the usual crop crap that simulates 16:9, 6x6, 3:2 or what have u. ;p

Think can't compare like that. The D3/s is full frame le. Each individual pixel is TTL (tua tua liap) So the SN ratio is naturally much higher. IIRC Canon 1st 1Ds is 11.x microns per pixel, so imagine now tech has improved & maybe Sony can make better use of the silicon real estate better, it cud be above 12 microns per pixel. :lovegrin:

Talking about D3, how come the sensor claimed to be made by Sony & yet Sony didn't release a FF model based on this 12MP sensor? :think::think: Maybe Sony didn't make this 12MP sensor?
