Lenses wise....hmm thats another question all together, the 20/1.7 looks:bigeyes: extremely tempting, and that 90mm looks like a good portrait/macro/close up lense!

to add to the key differences.. here are more facts that i found out myself...
Panasonic GF1 vs Olympus E-P1
23-area contrast AF vs 11-area contrast AF
144 zone metering vs 324 zone metering
ISO 100 - ISO 3200 vs ISO 100 - ISO 6400

size is almost on par with each other, difference of a few mm
the GF1 is also lighter than the E-P1 however different sites are listing different weights, i am not sure who to trust :dunno:

there is also a "My Color' mode on the GF1, presumingly similar to Art filters function as the E-P1

A little disappointed with the GF1 tho .... would have expected a better "wah" factor. Really good to have that fill in flash but the look of it ..sigh ...

Wasnt sure how the manual focusing work but I say oly EP1 manual focus really :thumbsup:

Now torned in between .... prefer the overall look of EP1

Yes, via an optional mount adaptor DMW-MA2M or MA3R for Leica M/R Lenses.
Voigtlander and NOVOFLEX also made similar adaptors.

Only question left for me is the ISO performance. Panasonic seem to be always trailing behind Olympus in this aspect.

I wonder how Panasonic managed to put a flash in there. There was at least one genius of an engineer who thought it's impossible.

onboard body flash = the gf1 does not have body IS, perhaps saved some space?

panasonic's latest m43 such as the gh1 seems to have the best iso performance amongst 4/3 and m43 sensors, so i wouldn't worry there. just the price i'm afraid of. lol.

The 20/1.7 is US$400? US$400 for a normal lens? And I thought the 35/1.8 Nikkor was overpriced.

Panasonic 2010 Roadmap for Micro Four Thirds Lenses.

100-300mm f/4-5.6 OIS,

8mm f/3.5 fisheye,

and 14mm f2.8 prime lens.

Good a new competitor and a new lens...can panasonic 20mm f1.7 mount to ep-1 but still get the autofocus function?if so then,should get the lens

about ep-1 and gf1,it depend back on the user,i prefer ep1 because of the white color and retro look,IS in body and of course the art filter(my favorite)....

what i like from GF1?
builtin flash,faster autofocus(i hope it faster significantly,at least comparable to GH1:bsmilie,Viewfinder...

but still ,i love my ep1...hahaha
