Wow! I might ditch the pen and get this girlfriend. I will watch the development meanwhile if it's real. Sweet! :p

Does Panasonic dslrs have custom curves? Dont quite like their colour.

This make looks attractive to me.

i think i see a Micro-Elmarit designation on the 45mm/f2.8 there

Is it just me or does the 20/1.7 looks thinner than my 17/2.8?

nightpiper, don't mind I merge these two threads. Its the same thing about the leak news.

Oly took too long...and now they'll lose their loot to Panny...

This GF-1 is looking interesting enough for me to switch camp!

And with a fingerprint reader! (errr....)

And when the GF-1 is officially announced, you'll get leaked pictures of the EP-2.

THEY ARE MESSING WITH OUR HEADS! :bsmilie:

negatives vs. the e-p1 is

-plainer dull look
-no in body IS
-not compatible with std. 4/3rds lenses
-mono sound for video
-probably more expensive with 20 1.4 lens vs. ep1's 17 2.8

Sigh...we'll never be able to catch up with technology will we? :(

But then...maybe now that this is announced, the price of the E-P1 will drop?

It's a 20/1.7, and like all micro 4/3s they'll work with a 4/3 lens adapter. In fact on B&H the Panasonic adapter is cheaper than the Olympus...

Hee hee I'm thinking of the same thing. But I will still get the E-P1 because of how it looks, shallow, yes, but it's a classic look no one can beat. But I yearn for the 20mm. f1.7, oh man! The ones who win this technology war are the consumers. There will be intense competition and we are the better for it.

its good that it has a built in pop up flash (but will it be block by some lenses). but i still dont like the way panasonic produce the image. if they have a better raw file and better high ISO noise control, it might be a good buy.

Seems like asahi has released more leather wraps in different colors and texture... now you have crocodile leather wrap options... for the shallow people like us...

You are doing homework with intel yeah? ha ha ha... wondering how the E-P1 EVF news will affect people. If they want to release it... hmmm... opss... did I say something here? Or was it E-P2? Hmmm... not enough coffee... so better go back to my nap...

it looks like an LX-3 to me actually.

Yeah, let's hope they produce a funky leather case to go with body+20mm.

EDIT: also hope it's not focus by wire. x - fingers crossed - x

I'm getting the GF1+20 if I can afford them - and probably give my QL17 away.

Me neither. That is why I have gave up the LX3. The skin tones look magenta-ish and the green also looks a little unnatural, not matter how I adjust the colors.

But I'm not so sure if the the Panny mFT cameras have this problem.

Does custom WB help?

It's focus-by-wire, sadly.

I have previously tried tweaking the custom WB in the LX3 according to some suggestions in dpreview forum but in no way I could achieve the colors like the one from Olympus cameras.

If I shift the green-magenta towards green, then the skin tone becomes green-ish instead.

Opps.. I think this it getting OT... :bsmilie:
