Yes, please help to monitor the sunrise time, if not we will be end up shooting sunrise from the Foodcourt of Punggol Plaza liao. :bsmilie:

I dunno if I m correct, in my experience, though the sunrise will be quite early but this doesnt mean it is the BEST time to photograph sunrise scene. I would think the best timing would be around 6:50am to 7:10am when all the clouds in the sky are lit up and luminated with the golden sunlight.

Of course, this is all depends on the weather ya.

Perhaps, you guys may want to check it out here now, here on Saturday night, and here before you get your butt out.

:)

Regards.

Don't worry, you have D100 right? What you need is a tripod, also nice to have a cable release. :)

Thanks for advice, thanks EVQ too. I do have a tripod, but without a cable release.

No..I still have my 300d with me...after thinking a while..I decided to keep it for some basic shooting..anyway I have sold of most of my expensive lenses and keep 1-2 cheapo lenses just in case I wanted to change system anytime.. :)

Thanks goodness with D7D...20d..1D ard....I'm still holding on to my principle... spend wisely and within my means :D

I will be shooting with 28mm...u joining us? anyway its a Sat.

I think that we have to meet really early,
to get there and set up b4 the sun rises.

Yeah, meeting slightly earlier so that dun have to rush on setting up or looking for a good location etc. It's a BIG group, hence, will take a longer time to settle down.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

the group is getting bigger! yay! but it means that we'll need more time allocated to meeting up and getting ready, so please note that the meeting WILL BE PUSHED FORWARD ... most likely by 15min, i'll be doing a trial run tomorrow to see how much time we need to walk to location 'a' in the dark, after which i'll post the new meeting time.

If it gets too complicated i may consider splitting up the meeting time, one earlier one for those living in punggol and a later one for those who live further away, (FOR EXAMPLE 6am for punggolians, i send one batch to location 'a' and come back to fetch 2nd batch around 6.30am) what do everyone think? any suggestions?

Great idea! So that those from far away lands dun have to rush.

ok, just to wet your appetite abit, hehe, here's three photos i took months back around location 'a', but all taken during evening ... atmosphere should be similar for sunrise though ... my skills not very good plus no tripod so may look abit blur, paiseh

I would rather be about 10 -15 mins earlier. BTT setup sar-kar tong, it is time to wack non stop....

I still dunno where on earth is that place. Very complicated...

Eh, you can do us the favor by attracting the rains. Afterall, it will be an excuse to stay indoors and for us, the rain don't kar-jio us during the shoot.

Hahahahaa.. Punggolians..

Good news for those driving there,
I drove past Punggol Plaza and noticed
that the barriers are stil in the up position.

That means that the parking is still free.
