If for me, I will get it fixed, rather than a 2nd hand, cos wat u get is a brand new shuttle(at least). No comment on the F80.

But my film camera is already more than 10 years old,
it seems that the new cameras have new technology,
that could come in useful.

Of course I have sentimental feelings for my old camera.

toss a coin? hehe, can't decide for you ...

anyway i agree with evq about the new shutter part ... you have D70 already mah, all the new technology you want to try is in that ;)

you have a point there, but the D70 is a different monster altogether.
OK I will fix my shutter, does anyone know of a reliable place to do it?
Reasonable price would be nice also.
Nikon service centre quoted me $230 to replace my shutter.

a friend recommended Prime Camera at Peninsula Plaza ... i personally don't know about that place, maybe you can check it out.

it costs $30 less that Nikon Service Centre

Hahaha, again, if for me, I'll pay the $30 for an offical service.

that was what i was thinking too, this kind of money cannot be saved. what more it is only $30.

That's right, what's $30 out of the $200. IF it's a smaller amount eg $100, then $30 saving is considerable.
