So to understand what you are saying, despite the lens being of zeiss origin the whole camera must be named a zeiss camera to be given its increased respect?

It's like saying NEX users who put Leica Glass on their cameras should be disregarded as the camera is still just a Sony.

And again, most of the current age realise that Sony sensors are present everywhere, those who bothered, know. Those who know realise Sony has established its name, new it may be, luxurious it is not yet, but don't undermine it.

Then again. It's a zeiss Sonnar lens perfectly made to match d RX1 full frame sensor. D output is definitely awesome.

Not just yet...until I have the M (Type 240) in my hands...

Until then, my two FF cameras are the 1DX and the 6D;p, staying relevant in the canon thread

Soon. By this year anyway.

Still talking about Leica. Smack the 2 of you :-)

I may pick up a used M9 instead. I cheapskate. But the lenses are really ex compared to Canon.

Haha. Leica M9 n new M r full frame too. But as u said. Really ex both d body n d lenses. Canon or Nikon setup will b more economical to own by fact.

Not sure about price equating to absolute performance. But man, the raw files are to die for from the monochrome. This was done with the summarit on ISO 6400.

My canons can't even smell this sort of 3D performance:(

Awesome. Both d price n d output. Cheers.

You guys are way OT in the Canon forum.

Given that there are so many FF offerings from Canon now. Which of these will you buy? The options here are of price range ~$1 - 5k. Please consider your budget and purpose. This is not a whatever money can buy thread so I have left out 1DX.

I am a new comer to Canon I just order one unit Canon EOS6D a few days ago. This take me a few months to decide between Nikon D600 & Canon EOS6D I focus on my needs and finally manage to narrow it and bought it.

Congratulations on your new purchase. In light of the several competitive features in favour of the Nikon D600, what prompted you to go with the Canon 60D?
