DA21 with CPL.

Some people seem to like this, and specifically called it out.

But I can't help feeling my use of the CPL was off, because of the wide-ish angle lens with CPL at that angle to the sun, which creates the uneven polarisation and uneven shades of blue in the sky. What do you think?

nice head shot of the cricket. sharp and good dof. i was in Mandai around 1 pm. Love this place cos it is so compact and so full of insects.

Got my first crab spider today. Same setup with the dual flash system, plate diffuser and monopod support. I just fitted the raynox after getting the step up ring from FW on thursday as the 250 raynox cant fit the 49mm dia DFA100 lens. With the raynox, the lens does not need to fully extend to get 1:1 and good lighting was easily achievable at f-stop ard f14.

dont really know how to "see" landscape photo & comment on filter effect. like the colour and composition of this photo.

one interesting pix taken today to share. a few more posted in macro forum as well.

dunno whether this one's a lizard, newt or salamander, appreciate if someone can help ID.

but i just crawled up right in front of me and stared at me for a few seconds before scurrying away :bsmilie: damn cute.

Crab Spider

Seefei, i prefer the other photo in your flickr of that crab spider facing the camera. That one has a nice leading line going towards that crab spider.

No experience with the uneven polarisation, but this photo sure looks like an artist's paint work

The uneven polarisation doesn't bother me, it's just an over-exaggeration of the fact that the sky looks brighter towards the sun. :) I'm more bothered by that one single flare spot in the sky. And the banding in the sky too due to the colour gradient, but that could just be due to jpg compression, or my monitor not being good enough .

An HDR image of the Singapore River from the Elgin Bridge.
Shot after visiting a client and just moments before a big downpour.

Wow, looks a little like end of the world. Is this using K-7's in built HDR?

If got enough pixel, crop away all the distraction and keep only the head. good shot!

Biking into Lower Pierce; and using K7 with kit lens 50-200mm WR; hand held. Trying to add the silhouette to the beautiful setting sun (rare times). Composition critique welcome. No pp; straight from camera.
