I actually find the speculation pointless (pardon for being straight forward here)

Just call up Emjay to clarify.
And it certainly would be good to share that info with others here.

A camera is sure to have warranty from one country or another.
At worst, it can be sent back to warranty of that country for servicing.

thanks for your effort. As I believe, the camera eventhough is parallel import, should come with the warranty cover by the origin country.
if emjay does not deal with this, at least they let the customer know country which country it is under cover.

Just to share.. Actually, the warranty is covered by E-offers.sg.
It's no longer under Emjay and therefore APD won't cover the warranty as well.

It's just like a parallel import set...

it is like DD-electronics (canon/nikon oriented), but for pentax, good to see there is alternative cheap option for pentax users.

I could only help to check the camera body of which country it is origniated from whether it has warranty covered by that respective country. For lens, unable to track the source.

Maybe I'm being an Ass here, but I just don't know why its easier to PM the moderator on a query on warranty.
Esp. so when they are not affiliated to e-offers.sg and don't owe us an answer too.
I just keep seeing this happening that the mods have to do the calls and footwork to give us an answer.

The effort to PM could just have easily been used to make a call to e-offers which is listed on their website.

I keep appealing to the people here.
You want the community to thrive, don't be a 'shy'/silent lurker and non-participant.
Do our part.
Get the info, pls share.

I just got the e-offer number on their site, and gave a call.
The lady who answered it told me that both camera and lens is covered by 12mths warranty.
Just send the faulty camera/lens thru their Office (again listed on the website)


Another note from her is that :
1. Look at the Terms and Conditions (both the general one and the one for the product)
Eg.

Under 'Fine Print' for the K30

"Fine Print:
Redemption period: 19 Feb 2013 to 18 Mar 2013
12 months warranty
Voucher is Non-Transferable unless accompanied by Authorization Letter
Please click HERE for Universal Terms & Conditions"

Not promoting this trend but I would say mods have a choice to ignore too.
If they call..... its their will once they start ignoring these requests people will find ways to get the info directly

Compare to full retail price, it is pretty reasonable, especially consider the lens will have 1yr warranty.

Original price, maybe on the high side.
The price now ($500 mentioned), its a very good price for this lens.

Weather sealed
silent DC motor
very small
good build quality
very close focusing (almost macro like at 135mm)
good range of focal lengths

On paper, you won't be able to tell much.
I've had it and reviewed it before.

Its certainly not what other brands offer (FL may be similar, but they won't be smaller, close focus, WS, or missing some other feature)

Decide to get one for myself after see both of your review. But the website a bit suspicious. I have email, facebook them asking about warranty and items included with purchase but so far no reply. The facebook seems to be inactive since a week ago. Not sure are they still operating?

why there's no K5 II? Anyone knows what's the selling price of this camera now?
