I gian the silver k3, but if ff comes out in early next yr, no money to upgrade again.
Buy K3 this year, shoot first, enjoy first, next year then say.... nobody know if FF coming next year..... even it come, who knows, your boss give u big bonus..... ho say..... Kekeke

Never ask yourself, ask your best friend or your wife, tell them your main reason to upgrade, then hear them out.

True true actually k5iis is quite good enough....unless u still holding a kx or kr...if upgrade then u can really see a huge differences....for me only the silver edition i still resisting now....Arrrrghhh.....

Up for the good price. Will be waiting for final production user reviews as my intended use will be for MMA events as well as night sports.

Looks like we are having excellent prices this round, and the silver one looks yummy. But black one not bad either.
As I said in the review thread, this has to be the most responsive Pentax camera I've ever used, and it's far better (operation wise) than previous Pentax cameras. As to IQ, don't worry, you won't be disappointed I'll show you some high ISO samples over the weekend when I got time looking through the photos. Even w/ beta firmware in a preproduction body, the high ISO photos look really nice.

Yes exactly.
Once you get over the emotional disappointment of the K-3 not being FF, you begin to understand that the K-3 is a very serious and complicated high tech device, one that is far beyond the type of photography I've done, or, dare I say it, beyond what many people have done. If I buy up, I'd be at the K-5II level. Better autofocus is all I'd need.
With the high number of features and refinement the K-3 brings to the APS-C world of dslr's, you do have to ask- do you really need it, or are you just trying the show you have money?
