Don't think the paint will scratch that easily. I am quite rough with my cameras but the previously K5 silver survived though without any scratches. Maybe good to gaffer areas which are subjected to abrasions. Other than that, I think it should be safe.

I think quite worth it.

If I didn't remember wrongly I got my old k-5 silver nekkid at 1.8k.

Now so much additional stuff. Hope this will be a new break through in sales for pentax Singapore as much as the k-x and k-5 did.
