do you have any idea how to fix canon len errors? As in my powershot S5 IS , occassionally when I zoom, the motor sound is not smooth and produce so much noise, and when im illfated, it will stuck halfway , beeps and states, "lens error, restart camera".

Hi David,

My D70s has problem. Sometimes on the top display it displays [-E-] or [CHA] even when the CF card is in the camera. Usually I took the card out and then reinsert it and everything went back to normal. Someone told me that the internal card reader has problem.

Can you repair it?

The problem with your camera is the memory compression board. It's the board you will see if you open up the bottom cover of your camera. The board contains 2pcs of 256M SDRAM and a microprocessor to compress and store your picture data into the CF card.

The card reader board contains only the CF card connector and an FFC connector.
If there's a bent pin in the CF card connector, then it has to be replaced.

I have a Nikon 35mm f/1.4 AIS which has a bit of fungus at the back element and the focussing ring which is a bit stiff/not smooth.
