Sorry, I like to change my guess for the kit price (street) to SGD940 instead of SGD1020.

I notice Panasonic has this trend of offering SD card and battery and bag for their product. Street price normally sells for 85% of recommended retail price. I took the US and UK RRP and provide an estimate.

Panasonic prices are quite stable and I am looking at it since launch for GX8 and the 3 different kits didn't reduce much till now. So no point waiting if they give extra SD card and battery (both worth about $100).

The only thing is do we want the kit lens. Imagine body only comes later and sells at 799, kit set sells at 940. $40 gets an additional len.

I was at funan yesterday but couldnt find a shop that sells body only. Can you let me know which shop are you referring to?

My apologies. Yes, there is no body only option for GX8. Unlikely to have body only option for GX80.

For me? The most important is that the IBIS works for 4K video. Gx8 doesn't. Finally what I always wanted. The Stabilization equivalent to oly's, but video using Panny's superior codec and with 4 k as well! Only down side is no ext mic input! But that can be worked around.
