Waoh..... tat is very soon! Will see if I can make it. Who to contact when reach there?

Look for botak with camera sitting at the smoking section. I am quite sure I am the only one.
Just go into TCC and look for the table full of cameras on it ;)

don't go wrong place , Fuji group also meeting at the food court tmr.

Maybe we should adjourn to the Food Court later. Sit beside them. Heeheehee...

My advice for you is that if you buy the E-M5, never ever get your hands on a E-M1 and shoot with it. Just pretend that this camera has never existed. If not, you WILL regret your decision to buy the E-M5 and kick yourself silly and you will end up ultimately going out and buying the E-M1. I have both and I can tell you that the shooting experience between the two is like heaven and earth and well worth the price difference. ;)

Tomcat - you have so many cameras, how you even use the em5 and em1 so much that you will be able to say something like this? :-)

In any case i appreciate that comment bec my next m4/3, will def not be em5 now. Haha.

I agree with Bro Tomcat....... having own EM5 (twice) and now EM1 for a few days...... the handling really very diff...... so much more you can do with EM1...... if comparing between EM1 & EM5.... you got 3 choices...... Get EM1.... Get EM1 & EM5 as backup..... Get EM1 & another EM1 for backup.... ;);p

Sorry tat I can't be there. This morning running event was org badly. I reached at 8am but my race started at 12pm and I end at 2pm. Super shagged.

Hope I had another better chance again with u guys/gals. Cheers!

I felt that the 17mm f1.8 and 25mm f1.4 seems to be sharper when mounted on E-M1. Maybe its just me? LOL

Not really only you. Steve Huff also reported that the 17mm f1.8 became stellar on his EM1 but was only average on the EM5. He attributed it to the lack of AA filter.

There's a reason why I paired my 17/1.8 with the EM1 for today's gathering ;)

P.S : no la, I just wanted to travel light today.

Hi,

I like to seek advice. Since I had the EM1 paired with 12-40mm for streets and portraits, I'm looking at a longer telephoto lens for taking scenery, animals/birds at the parks, etc.

Is Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f2.8 a good choice or should i wait for the new oly 40-150mm f2.8 pro?

It is greatly appreciated if anyone have any pictures to share or advice to give?

My sincere thanks.

From my experience and feeling towards Panny 35-100mm onto my EM1, it is quite good and very pleasant with the lens which produces good IQ and faster focus. What I like the most about this lens is the light weight, small in size and internal zoom design(means no protruding of the lens at all when you zoom 35 to 100mm.
From my personal opinion, I would not buy Oly 40-150mm F2.8 PRO as it is enormous and heavier.
Just watch the video as shown below.

Hi iiSe7en, Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I have the same feel as you on the size and weight of both lens. Now is to see if i can get my hands on the panny 35-100mm and try out.;)

I heard someone broke his 12-40 mount in SG as well. This problem is getting a bit more frequent...

I think the zoom ring for Panasonic and Olympus turns the opposite way. I wonder if it would post a problem to you?

Prob wait for proper proof to appear ba. Quite a lot of 12-40 users here in the forum too. A lot of things can be heard.

Just wondering if you observed this shooting jpeg or RAW or both?

Hi, very new in this. care to explain where is the 12-40 mount? is it the connection to the camera?

If it is, this is serious. Because both the mounting parts of the camera and lens are metal..... my 5 cents worth......:dunno:

Well I have to test out before i know whether it is a problem for me..... will have to wait and see....

What do you mean by "where is it"? The lens mount is located at the bottom of the 12-40mm f/2.8 lens as at any other lens.
