Good should as lux will be a long lasting Len to keep. If u know the good and bad at wide open on this cam then you can avoid by shooting differently to avoid the bad.

Anyway I only shoot lux 50 on A7r and now getting the 35 FE. The grip quite gd built.

Show us some shots in the image thread to showcase how the rendering and bokeh looks like on yr A7R... Tks

yes you can. shave off the lens hood and you will get almost a full circle with the Aps-C E mount samyang.

once done your problem will be finding a lens cap haha

hehe ya. if it is the 8mm F3.5 you can dissassemble. if it is the emount 8mm f2.8 which is much smaller, you cant do this, can only shave

Just an update - i went to another shop to 'test-drive' the A7 and kit lens - same issue with the test set.

If anyone has any same experience, please do share.

I don't believe its the body and the issue lies with the lens. I mounted my Novoflex + 50mm Summilux last evening and there is no such issue.

perhaps it is the lens then. my SEL10-18 mounts perfectly on the A7 too

Seems a design fault then... Is it affecting your shooting or it's just an issue at the back of your mind?
