OFFICIAL: CANON EOS 6D - User Thread - Part 3

Hi guys, any wireless flash triggers below $200 to recommend for 6D? I've tried aputure trigmaster but it doesnt work half the time. I see that Phottix Strato II also doesn't have 6D in the compatible camera list.

If u're referring to tis http://www.phottix.com/en/phottix-strato-ii-multi.html
It says compatible with 6D on the webpage

YongNuo 622C? With TTL.
Or the cheaper 603.

Yap, the YongNuo one.... I used to have the Nikon version..... but sometime its hit & miss..... but for the price and my usage... okie for me....

That's the problem I encountered. I could not jump to next image from zoom state directly.... I need to zoom out and jump to net image then zoom, then I can go next image...

Mmm.... need a check up I suppose.... lucky still under warranty....

Thanks Bro... :)

When you are in magnified view, the three controllers have different functions:
Main Dial, the one on the top, can be used to change magnification ratio
Quick Control Dial, the one at the back, can be used to jump to previous or next image
Multi-Controller, the one inside Quick Control dial, can be used to move the magnified image around the screen.

Make sure you are using the right controller to jump between images.

The yn622c works well with my 6d

Using the cheaper Yongnuo 603 with 6D and 430ex1. Works well, no issues. Just did some family photoshoot at locations.

My 6D is 2 weeks old, and boy! I like this camera!
The size and feel is the key thing. But everything seems to work seamlessly and I just get the photos I want much easier. I was a little worried about my purchase, thinking I may regret it and I was considering 5D3, Fuji XE-2, OMD, Nikon DSLRs. I tried all of them and decided on this for the price and size mainly.

PIXEL, Model: King Pro works well also. Compatible to...

Camera:1DSeries, 5DSeries,6D, 7D, 50D, 40D, 30D, 20D, 10D,60DSeries, 70D, 700D, 1100D, 1000D, 650D, 600D, 550D, 500D, 450D, 400D, 350D, 300D, 100D.

Just to share... went to the IT show and Funan yesterday to chk out the 6D. IT show selling 6D body for 2699 with some freebies but seems not worth the $$$. Reason being I checked with some shops in Funan and the 6D prices range from 2099 to 2330(all cash term). So, u do ur own calculation ba... and i'm still looking ard for my purchase! :)

Local warranty set ard $2.3k+.
Those ard $2k or below are mostly grey set (shop warranty).
$2099 most likely the grey set.

Dude, check this

http://flashhavoc.com/ojecoco-h-430-review/

16 sgd a pop. Receiver and transmitters are the same price. Solid.

Buy as many receivers as you like as these use radio to trigger the last time i read.

Which 3rd party grip is recommended? As in which brand has lower fail rate so far?

Pixel. I vouch for it. The build quality is SOLID. And they give that holder to put AA batteries in case you run out of juice on your LP E6es.

I use it myself and its awesome😉

Pixel is the name.

Question for 6D owners. Is the 24-105 f4 kit lens good enough? Or is there a third party lens which performs better and sharper? Like Sigma or Tamron?

Dude, its a good lens. Not great, but good. Its only slightly sharper than the 50 1.8 anyway. Try stopping down if you can for the best picture quality.

For me i try to put it around f5 or f7.1 if i can. I find it really helps with the sharpness.
