Depends on whether you're going for grey sets or not, I think for gs, $1.8k.. If not it's 2.1k?

Hi all. I just bought my 6d on Friday. Upgraded from my 650d. Pairing with a Tamron 24-70VC. Things are looking good so far. Love the smooth operation of the whole system and the outer af points aren't as bad as the reviews made them out to be. It was fun walking around on a cloudy day and not thinking twice about shooting at ISO 1600 and 3200. Haha.

Bought from Harvey Norman Funan.
$2599 with extended 2 year warranty.

Breakdown of prices for the shops I visited on 18th October.

TK-$2375 cash. Free streetwalker pro bag
$2471 on credit

Challenger - $2530 cash or credit no extended warranty.

SLRR- 2375 cash $2471 Cc. Free $50 shop voucher.
$3259 cash with 24-105 lens. Fre $65 shop voucher.

Artworkfoto - $2150 cash.
$3099 with 24-105 lens. Only cash terms.
Note. Grey sets.

Cheers!!

Hi Roy Pek Jun Jie, wheres is good grey shop? How many are there in Singapore? considering to get a 6D for my Taiwan trip. thanks

The kit price is pretty good considering it's another 800 for the 24-105

thanks for the update. Btw, how does the norman harvey extended warranty works? Still go back to with canon? Or in house?

According to HN, call HN up if there is a problem. They will advise you on what to do next. Usually, the customer is told to go down to Canon to get it repaired and the repair cost will be borne by HN.

According to the salesperson there is "no limit" to the number of times you can seek repairs within warranty period and "no limit" to cost of repairs as longs as the fault is covered by the regular canon warranty terms.

I read the warranty terms and conditions and found it fair.

Hope this helps!

sounds good. If that's the case, the deal with the extended warranty looks palatable. :)

Do note, however, you can purchase any local set from any authorized dealer with the standard 1 year ( plus 3 months if you register online) warranty. You can then proceed to extend the warranty by 2 years by paying $230 more online. and you can choose to purchase the extended warranty at a later stage. Right up to the last day of the original warranty. So if you are looking at getting extended warranties. You have 2 options.
Cheers!

I think if you're looking for local sets, only wifi+gps is available.
You might be able to find grey sets without wifi n gps but the price diff isn't significant between with and without the additional features

I took the dive yesterday to get the 6D with 24-70mm F4L IS USM kit from Cathay photo at $3549.

For me, IQ is excellent and lens' macro feature is an added bonus.

anyone knows if there is a grey set for handgrip? whats the price for local set and grey set if any?

if have where to buy? thanks

Hi guys ~ Just to check if anyone know if there's a 6d with 24-70 ii kit package ?

Thanks

In my point of view, battery Grip no need to buy orginal as it doesn't make huge differences in performance beside the price and orginal also don't cover warranty which is a - point.

Don't bother with the original..I bought my original for 190 for my 60d...less than mths it started to bubble from underneath then the rubber grip started to become loose...I ended up gluing back the grip back myself since there's no warranty..zzz
