Agree! Im a new 60D user and was given a class 4 SD. Recording stopped around 5 secs too! So now going to hunt for the sacred class 6 cards! Argh!

Any1 here would recommend a 17-40 L lens for my wide angle shoots? Mostly its for traveling purposes though...Now on a 18-200mm ...

Still deciding whether to go for a BNIB or second hand here...=D

Regarding the SD card... there is this Kingston class 10 sd card which is about the same price as Sandisk Ultra class 4 sd card. Haven't buy one for myself yet but it should work effectively.

17-40 is best for FF sensor... and your 18-200mm is about as wide as a 17-40. Hence, u don't really benefit from changing your 18-200mm to a 17-40mm. If u wanna change due to better optics, can consider Canon 17-55mm f/2.8. If not wrong it is better than 17-40 minus the red ring...

If u want ultra wide angle which are around 10mm range, can consider Sigma 10-20, Canon 10-22 or Tokina 11-16.

Just FYI, I am using Sigma 10-20 + Canon 24-105 L for travelling purpose.

May I know whats the price of 60D with kit 1?

Not too sure dude... I bought my 60D body for $1440. So plus $100-$200 for the kit lens should be around $1640...

Sure! I have shot some UWA shots during the light art festival ( I light Marina Bay) using my 60D... :-D

10mm is the widest u can get for cropped sensor... unless u wanna go for Sigma 8-16... but note that the filter is not easy to find... :-D

since you have a 18-200... pretty decent lens.. get a sigma 10-20 to compliment it?... if got a little more budget... go for canon 10-22..

yeah... all the dimensions on your lens need to multiply by 1.6 to get the actual value in full frame format... :-D

i got it for my 550D few months back...
less than SGD 60...

now i've got my 60D, it became more than SGD 80 for an 8GB...
i Think i will go for a 16gb class 4 or class 6 instead...

cos my friend get a 8GB class 10 + 8GB class 4 at SGD 99...:bsmilie:

Just upgraded to 60D from 40D...

I found it a bit disappointing...

No WB type/Flash Exposure compensation bar indicators on the viewfinder or top LCD.
Have to use the 3" LCD to set...

how to shoot fast..

hehe. wanna be voyeur also cannot coz to set WB, have to turn on LCD screen...

I miss my 40D... In the meantime, I hope to learn to love the 60D for what it is...

I agree. It's kind of a pain. Oh well... the 60D is just an advanced Rebel camera.

this 60d makes me regret selling my 40D and at the same time, tempt me to upgrade to FF for the features of a real SLR camera..

The 40D was the last good xxD series Canon will ever make.

They should just upgrade the LCD of the 40D and leave everything else untouch, and I will buy it for the price of the 60D.
