Another opinion - Don't you find that the Buy/Sell Canon Equipment pricing is too high? I noticed that quite a number of used lens selling only tens of dollars cheaper than original new lens... Sorry for offencing sellers...

yeah..my 1st car 6 years ago..and 3rd car already..

ok..then my bad, too strong then. sorry.

Bro, after looking through your portfolio, I'd agree the 24-105 doesn't suit your style.
Nice pics BTW, I like your Shanghai Winter series. I'm not staying in the Jingan area, but those are nice pics.

If there's a worst L lens, my vote goes to the 28-300, neither here nor there.

Sorry... 1 more stupid question... Haha...
I thinking of buying a Wireless Remote Controller RC-1 or RC-5... Wondering if I could just use without attaching any other things on my M2?

Thanks.

Yes u can. The info is also available at the back of ur user manual. There is a system chart for all accessories suitable for ur camera...

One draw back of the RC is that you need line of sight for the IR to work.

I have a 1635 L and i just got my 5D MKII. End of the day i am using basic 50mm f1.8II instead of my 1635mm due to the weight added on my 5D.

Now i am considering maybe i might just use Prime Lens 50mm / 85mm

I am wondering how much can a 1635mm be sold for?

That's why I m increasingly purchasing overseas. After shipping my minty 17 tse from states, including shipping n ica tax payments I still save a good 700 sgd off a new set locally. Doubt can get a good used set locally at the price I got..

Actually if the price difference is not too huge, i dun mind paying "abit" more locally, since i can have the option of reviewing the item. Actually purchasing used/refurbished items overseas also can be a leap of faith.

All the talk about 5DMkII, i still find the 5DMkII yummy

yep..

try selling to an upgrader whom has saved for the past year for the item..

once i had a boy who test and test and took out the laptop, look at the images, then shot again at every aperture, then look thru the lens for hours (ok, at least 10 mins)

and then at the receipt, then pick on the box's condition AND the caps' conditions..not to mention how he looked for any scratches on the lens' body..

won't be surprised if he took out a magnifier to check..

nearly called off the deal.

but i just kept quiet and count my fingers and toes to make sure they are still there.

:sweatsm:

so tat is why even 2nd hand stuff in good condition still command a good price here..at least they can do the above and bargain on the spot.

Agree... But savvy buyers will prob not make an offer if price is too high....if seller needs to sell, he will then lower price to attract more enquiries etc. the rest is basic demand and supply.

Wow, I really must commend you for your good patience. :bsmilie:

For me, if the person nick pick on the mechanical of the lens, I can still accept. But please, what has the cap and box got to do with the pictures that he can take with the camera? :bsmilie:

since he is here..

the thing is, during his inspection..i got a better offer! :bsmilie:

really WTF moment..but it is a learning curve..hopes beginners reading this take it in.

but of cos there were buyers tat are fuss free and closes after casual testing and once-thru..

well, we are regulars here, have an reputation to uphold. :bsmilie:

Hi guys,

I am a 40D user, and I am planning to sell off my 40D to fund for a 5Dmk2. But i am kinda in a dilemma now as I have a few questions to ponder over. Pls help

1. Should I wait for the 5Dmk3 and purchase the 5dmk2 when the price pummels?
2. Should I keep 40D as a spare body? since the cash return is not much
3. and the only lens i have now is a 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.8. Should i sell off one and fund for a 17-40?

Pls advice! (:

all depends,

on how much you earn next year..

on when mk3 is launched..

on why you want 5dmk2 when 5dmk3 is here, will u be happy with mk2?

on why 40d is no longer the body of choice

on why u need a backup body..

on why u want a 17-40

if u have the answers to the above..i am sure you will pretty much answer yr own questions.
