My 5D mark II has now a total of 280k, going to reach 300k.
And still clicking like a hell!

talking about clicking, I realised my 5DII mirror slap sound is abit duller than the demo set in vivo canon centre .. :think: ( not that it affects my shooting in anway )

i going to send my cam to CSC today to service... also asking them to help me clean my view finder (inside) cos its very dusty (i think i need to replace my focusing screen also... cos accidentally scratch it and got dust).

usually when do u guys send in your cam for servicing? my shutter count approaching 20k already.

i do it myself..as in the dusting and cleaning..

the key in not scratching anything is to be firm and steady..

i find if u are can be too careful in handling it and ended up :bheart:

WOA ur one can change tune erh. mine sings the same tune all the while

i tried cleaning my viewer finder myself but think it got worst :bheart: and i ended up scratching my focusing screen (need to replace new one) :cry:

135L but you need to have quite a bit of working space.

spent $39 on replacing a new EGS focusing screen and $40.66 on replacing the prism (got smudge by me while i attempt to blow out the dust on my focusing screen) :cry:

but now cam is good as new! clean! :thumbsup:

Can I do a quick check with fellow owners here..... do you hear a distinct motor winding sound immediately after a shutter actuation?

Mine has it and I remembered my old 5D has that sound too. However, the test body*which wasn't in the best of condition) at Canon Link did not have that sound, just the shutter clicking. I was comparing both cameras there and the difference was very apparent, people standing beside me could pick it up easily.

I got no such obvious sound after the "snap". I might be mistaken i need to go back and listen to it more carefully

dun rem hearing any other noise other then the shutter

Hmm.... watched some clips on Youtube, the motor winding noise is more distinct in some.....

85L or 85 f1.8 also popular.
