Today had a quick hands on on the D7100. It's design and button layout is similar to the D600, but feels very much lighter.

Call up nikon Singapore, it will available next week to all stores. Retailing at $2299 with kits, so assume body cost around $1850 minus lens price. Hope to get one soon )))

I'm assuming that the RRP of body only to be $17XX range, since it appears that SG RRP is the same as JP's retail store pricing.

Great strategy of Nikon's. Introduce the D600 to capture those itching for a FF camera and then mop up those who resisted the FF urge with another enticing DX camera upgrade option.

Just received a tip off.

D7100 kit - S$1810-S$1850
D7100 body - S$1570-S$1600

Both are coming and will be in this week.

Looks like the body's price is jacked up.

Strange that the kit price is 500 more than the body only price. Don't recall the gap is that wide for earlier models of d7k, d90. Frankly that lens is not worth that much.

Noted is that the RRP and street price almost always differs by about 10-20% depending, so 1799 would probably be going at 16xx when it's launched.

I can still remember when D7000 was launch, it was on the same price tag 2.3ksgd for kit 18-105 (can't remember body only price). So after ten months (from launch), I bought this as my first dslr - body only at 1680sgd with 50mm f1.8 G at 280sgd. didn't bother for the kit 18-105mm.
