Strange that the kit price is 500 more than the body only price. Don't recall the gap is that wide for earlier models of d7k, d90. Frankly that lens is not worth that much.

Would this mean the price of the 18-105mm have just increased?

Great strategy of Nikon's. Introduce the D600 to capture those itching for a FF camera and then mop up those who resisted the FF urge with another enticing DX camera upgrade option.

D7100 beats D600 in specs except for a DX sensor.

Just received a tip off.

D7100 kit - S$1810-S$1850
D7100 body - S$1570-S$1600

Both are coming and will be in this week.

Looks like the body's price is jacked up.

Would get a quote from Cathay later in the evening, as I checked with them that D7000 body and kit would be arriving in late afternoon.

I received quote from a shop thru FB (not SLRR) on tuesday night.

Don't think it was wise to share the exact amount, rather a range that shops would likely use to sell the initial batch

You have to acquired all. A D7100 + kit lens is not enough. :bsmilie:

Why I got a feeling a replacement for D600 is due soon, a D600S/D610, with whatever the D7100 is offering now... ..... maybe next year..... :dunno:

Just got a quote from CP for body alone @ 1495 w/ gst using CC.

Quite a good price compared to the kit at 1850, not surprising the body alone is OOS =(

higher end bodies replacement is normally longer.

Hot? It's older than 6 months. Not that hot anymore.
