New firmware for NEX 7 is here

Hi Bro i heard the correction was meant for the nex lenses if that's the prime e-mount 16mm you can do the before and after testing. I did my test I cant tell the difference on my SIgma 19mm noise wise is almost the same but my sample shot is not controlled so cant use that as a ref.

Lieca-R lenses depend on the lens you'll be getting the 50 f/2 summicron I would say just nice but the 135mm it's heavy so as the 90mm a bit heavy. :-) but I am used to heavy lenses so hard to say if ok to me is not ok to others :-)

Haha will try to do a comparison then. Mayb is to solve the up coming 10-18 issue. Anyway, i am fine with heavy lens. Do use the 70-200g on a77 with grip. The cv35 f1.2 on nex7 feels alright but anything more then that seem kinda imba imo. Haha was thinking of getting some longer focal length lens on nex7 but all seem so imba haha

180mm too long for me I think 135mm maybe my max (for now) I am keen in looking for 35mm f/2 but this lens is very exp the f2.8 I dont know if it is ok or not. Else (some time in the future) the Fujinon 35mm f1.4 would satisfy my needs :-)

Cv35mm f1.2 v2?

yeah I find my Leica Elmarit 135 on NEX7 a bit imbalance already but good thing is the lens is big enough for me to hold it firmly :-)

Get the X-E1 with the XF 35-1.4. U will not regret, bro... IQ and sharpness as good as the FLE...

:bsmilie: evil! come here spread poison!

Read one feedback from the net seem the purple issue with wide legacy lens still there but so far only one person commented that. Have not updated mine nor I have a wide legacy lens to test widest I have is 19mm sigma hehe.
Even if it would be possible for the camera to be aware of the mounted legacy lens, Sony wouldn't be able to generate lens profiles for all lenses out there. I guess they will only fully support and work on improvements for Sony and Tamron lenses.

I am still waiting for my A-mount to NEX adaptor so i could use my Samyang FE on NEX to see this purple issue... so far I have not seen it on my pix.

lol. i've no doubt about the pic quality and sharpness of 35mm f1.4. but i want to test out the AF first.

Why purple fringing? It's a SLR lens and I thought they don't show these issues.

Bro albertri, you might wanna read some of what Erwin Puts wrote about Leica wide primes. He seems to be less than enthusiastic about some of them, especially the 35/2 and the 35/1.4. He also notes that the optics in the 24mm f/2.8 are Minolta's design.

There's a wealth of information, reviews, and commentary available on R lenses. Using those resources can help one to make good choices when buying R stuff, and it also enlightens as to why R glass prices are so divergent--some very cheap and some expensive.

Gonna go DL that firmware . . . disabling that damned video button will greatly improve the NEX-7's ergonomics, especially for one-handed bug hunting! ;)

Yeah... purple fringing on happens only legacy wide angle lenses... haha... A mount, E mounts all dun haf purple fringing...
