Err... dun really see d diff... sorry...
To be honest, I do see a noticeable difference. The second one is better.
yeah just a bit of improvement I would saybut hey who shoots at widest for landscape? mine I did shoot at F8 hard to see from my not so wide sigma19mm
my sigma 19mm not really good for landscape even with hood find the photos wash-out :-( hmmm maybe if I could get a good price 2nd hand VC 12mm I'll try to see how bad it isor if I could get LA-EA2 coudl use my Tokina 11-16 see how it is

Why not but I doubt it gives you the best possible result from any lens.
tntrue said:Bro, maybe should check the Photozone.de review of the CV 12mm before you decide. It got only 2.5 stars, and that was on the NEX-5. I saw some sample photos shot on the NEX-7 and the magenta cast was there also.
BTW, I did some more shots with the CV 15mm on the NEX-7. Definitely NO improvement in the color casting, definitely *noticeable* improvement in corner sharpness. So, in a pinch I can shoot my RF wide glass in RAW, fix the color cast pretty easily in LR, and have great results. But it's more likely I'll keep using my 5n for shooting wide, as the 7 is otherwise well-occupied!
Anyway, I give Sony an A+ for this upgrade . . . very useful improvements.

Actually on my IPS monitors at work it was gone but now I'm looking at it on an uncalibrated TN panel and there is still the magenta haze in the 2nd photo. To be honest, I do see a noticeable difference. The second one is better.

No no, the photo taken with the new firmware is a slight improvement on my LG TN panel but on my HP IPS panel the magenta cast was almost completely gone, it looked totally acceptable already.

wangzb said:At least there is improvment luckily then. Mayb they use ips panel to work on the firmware hahaha
