Yes, GST included. I just walked in, asked the price and was given this quote. Did not bargain and paid by NETS.

I think the price is around there ... I was at TK last week and was quoted $700 w/GST. Couldn't made up my mind then .. and since I work near to funan, I just pop by and ask AP lor...

Thanks for the info.

AP is the cheapest of all.

Just got my S5 IS abt 2 hrs ago and was told that the free gifts must be collected from Canon at Harbourfront. So i just bring receipt and warranty card??

I got all the free gift together with the cam. But if you want to collect from Harbourfront, I think you'll need your warranty card. (at least that's what TK foto told me.)

I got it from MS Color, that's what they told me - to go down to Harbourfront to collect the kit bag, 2GB SD and 4 GP rechargeables.

Pardon my 'suaku-ness', which part do u all tie the lens cap strap to? The neckstrap bracket?

bring the receipt and warranty card. they will stamp redemned after that.

what is the SD card brand?

from what i saw during a visit at Canon @ Harbourfront 2 weeks back, it is Kingston 2gb normal speed.. no longer the Toshiba Class4 2gb.

When did Canon give out Toshiba Class 4 2GB? As far as I know, it is Kingston 2GB standard SD. Some shops may change the card to some other brand if you collect from them.

I have always tied it to neckstrap. Is there another possibility?

3. 2 Gb normal SD card.

No, I work at Capital Tower. But when I received my S5, a lot of people urged me to take a few photos. So, I brought my camera to work and during lunch, just snapped a few pics of nearby buildings along Maxwell Road. That's Temasek Tower, formerly Treasury Building.

thank god the treasury and temasek has moved out....othewise you maybe detained and interrogated for 2 weeks for taking photo at that building :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Standard freebies from Canon. I also got the 58mm Lens Adaptor (3rd party, black metal) from them @ $35. Uses canon bayonet mount.

So far am satisfied with the picture quality esp the video. Just nice for my new born baby :D

hi, can't really see clearly your baby pic....but did you use flash on him?

What is a good mode or setting to take continuous shots of a moving person? I tried both P and Ty mode, results were not good.

You will need to boost your ISO in order to use a higher shutter speed. The results are not mode-dependent.

OIC. The building BTW is no longer known as Temasek Tower after it was bought over recently by MacQuarrie. Now it is just known as 8 Shenton Way until a new name is given by the new owners.

Hi everyone, I've gotten myself the S5 yesterday. Today went to Sentosa to take some pictures, and realised something about the EVF. Using the EVF, I tried to apply the rule of thirds. However, when I previewed on the LCD screen as well as on my pc, the focused object seems to be much higher up, resulting in many of my subject's heads being cropped off.
Things are ok if I take pictures using the LCD screen rather than the EVF. Just wondering if it's normal or do I have a faulty camera?

Newby here so not sure about such stuff... thanks for any help.

No problems with my EVF cos it's 100% coverage.

partly also due to the angle you look into the EVF..
