You mean on board flash or external flash? I don't have external flash. I posted some pics in the S1/2/3 thread but no flash pics yet.

If by timelapse you mean the intervalometer, I believe the S5 no longer has it.

For ISO shots, I had taken a few from ISO 100 to 1600. Check out the links given above.

damn! no intervalom... still waiting for dpreview to come with a review. anyway, here, i can order it for 650 u.s. dollars but for the same price i could get an s3 for 500 AND an inkjet printer, hispeed 2gb san disk, original canon case, another low speed 1gb card (for free) and 4 nimh batteries but only until this monday!! probably after some time i will want the s5 so... you feel me?

have hooted one.. still experimenting...

but tks, how do i improve the blurring effect? F2.8 wasn good enuf  couldn live up to 10D with 17-40 F4L
had to do MF to get good blurring effect...

and i realise i couldn set multi AF points... does S5 possesses multi AF? ders only centre or select face...

last qns.. Super Macro at 0cm, issit bullshiting? H9 could do better... :sticktong

I am the last person that you should ask such technical stuff. 99% of the time, I just shoot on Auto mode. I only know (and I am sure you know too) that for blurring effect, (a) you need wide aperture, (b) camera close to subject. Maybe try Macro mode?

Think S series is totally different league as compared to those DSLR. So no point comparing apple to durian. They are just different.

S series is like all in 1 sort of camera. Some pple just love to take photos and video at the same time. Imagine you gotta carry a DSLR and lenses plus a videocam. That's really heavy man. Unless you are a some body builder. :P

yeps, macro works better with F2.8  beginning to love my S5 more...

except for the manual focus and zoom rings, can you choose your aperture, shutter speed (all intermediary values?!)

i used yesterday a canon 400d. Can somebody tell me if you could do the same manual settings on the s3/s5? pls... this bugs me a lot as it is very important to me

S1/S2/S3/S5 all have M mode for you to play with Manual :D

the pics look good.. but any pics shot at the telephoto end?

how to play Manual in S series, coz i'm totally newbies :(

I hope I don't sound rude but are seriously asking this question? When you take pictures, instead of using Auto mode, just turn the dial to M for Manual. You should at least read the manual.

OT a bit...

Wah... I had to check to see if I am one of those in the photo above.......

You pass by or work there?

No, I work at Capital Tower. But when I received my S5, a lot of people urged me to take a few photos. So, I brought my camera to work and during lunch, just snapped a few pics of nearby buildings along Maxwell Road. That's Temasek Tower, formerly Treasury Building.

Took a handheld shot in my study room just now...
