Me too... waste our precious time only
I hate cyclists on the road... they are really a road hazard to everyone. But yet again, if they cycle on pavements, they will be hazards to pedestrians too.

should have a cycling lane between the pavement and the road. Then it'll solve all problems...ahahahaa... :bsmilie:

heard from my gf says there news about some taxi driver go corner a motorbike and the motorcyclist died... is it true? she said both are 'racing' den the taxi go push the bike to the kerb or something... quite sad eh, but den... both also at fault... taxi should not do that... the bike since he know he is flesh over metal, should have just let the bugger go....

Interesting. my colleague mentioned this to me over lunch the other day. He also mentioned that the driver is being charged with culpable homocide, which carries a 8 year jail term instead of the regular road bully type charges.

This is interesting.

I can drive but ride most of the time(for economical reasons) and here are some of my observations & experiences.

As a rider, I usually keep to the center of the lane that I'm travelling on. I get high-beamed at from the rear. All lanes are occupied; lane change is not possible.

So I move to the edge of lane to let Mr Impatient-Driver overtake. Of course, now I'm travelling on the dotted lines; with Mr Impatient-Driver beside me giving me the looks.

I speed up, I'm a reckless rider terrorising the roads.
I slow down, I'm a stupid rider hogging the roads.

And speaking of the taxi-motorcyclist incident, I had a almost similar incident last night myself.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
VAN ---> Traffic flow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TAXI 2 x motorcycles
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ME
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was going at abt 110km/h on the 1st lane overtaking Taxi & the 2 motorcycles when Taxi suddenly cuts into my lane causing me to swerve right, jam brakes, cursing and swearing all at the same time. (See the benefits of multitasking? :bsmilie: )

* It was a good thing that I've had other unpleasant experiences with other taxis that made me particularly alert when going anywhere near a taxi. This mindset probably saved me last night.

I'll be a liar if I say I managed to stay calm. I chased that BAST*RD for a few kilometers to get his license plate.

Thinking back makes me realise how fragile a human life really is. Here in a minute, gone next. I just hope more Singaporeans (drivers & riders alike) can use the roads with more respect to others.

i definitely dislike road hoggers, esp those who still refuse to change lanes even when they r highbeamed at... like that Merc E240 driver staying near siglap area driving along ECP yesterday evening.

I am quite ok with pple who drive cars like evo or wrx... they are generally better drivers in terms of skill.. dislike wannabes who modify their lancer/corolla etc into some sporty racecar...

Also dislike pple who illegally modify their headlights to white lights and shine right into pple's eyes.. i mean Singapore's roads are probably the brightest u can find, why do pple need such headlights?!

BMW drivers still ok... except for 1 that showed me the finger :nono:

Wah... Singapore roads so happening!
Lucky i have my own chauffeur... ;p

i hate in whenever i am on the extreme right lane, wanna filter to the middle lane.
then another driver from the extreme left lane wanna filter into the same middle lane as me.
end up as if we "fighting" for the same slot on the middle lane.

i noticed DCA voted in all the fields available. hahah you really hate all road users?

I'm also a full time bike rider and part time car driver for economic reasons as well like fireblade (i'm on the hurricane :sticktong )

I've seen my fair share of cars that cut into me (cutting parallel into me, not in front of me) as if I didn't exist on the road... When you horn them to warn them "HEY I'M HERE!" they give you the finger or stare.

Funny thing is.. when I trail them all the way to a traffic light.. i stop next to them and stare at them.. wave at them to wind down the window, tap on their window.. they jsut pretend to look straight.. knock on their window with my carbon fibre knuckles... at most it's just a quick glance. I just want an apology or some explanation, I'm a friendly guy.. :bsmilie:

Most drivers who act fierce on roads are only brave when they are travelling, hoping they wun have to face whoever directly. When you start to tail them out of the expressway, you'll see them trying funny things to shake you off.. Do U-Turns lah.. slow down at traffic light and speed up when turning amber.. bla bla bla.. all I can say is.. My tiny 400 is just a tad faster than most of the cars on the road...

luckily you're in a car.. my tiny bike dun stand a chance.. even if I'm ON THAT LANE.. cars just come in and push me off my slot on the lane. What's up with road users these days.

just now i was crossing the zebra crossing and a lady driver speed by in her white BMW

I don't like people who complain about other road users. Not happy don't use lah...ask your father buy u one road drive until u shiok.

if i am not mistaken, there are rules and regulations to driving on Singapore road. If a person doesn't obey such rules and regulations, i think these are the people who should ask their fathers to buy them a road to drive upon.

It's not whether I am happy or not, it's about whether a person obey or disobey the rules and regulations he or she choose when they get their driving lic.

* fire-proof, flame-proof, water-proof, all-danger-proof armour on *

* togu thinks hrm... hrm... some singaporeans are just too paranoid...

* togu runs away in the dunno-what armour...whew~!

one more category to add - pedestrians who cross busy streets and totally ignore oncoming traffic: "hit me lah!"

one such pedestrian was hit by a taxi on the road today near my office. while i sympathize with the victim, i can't help but feel that the accident could have been easily avoided with a little more care on both sides.

Old model civic drivers who drive fast. The newer model drivers seem to be well behaved.

Taxi drivers are bad
Merc drivers are worse

but my vote goes to drivers of Merc taxis
