thats the reason why you have the sign "motorcycles and slower traffic, keep left".
That's more a friendly suggestion as opposed to a rule.

In any case, my vote goes out to taxi drivers and guys with small pricks driving flash fast-cars.

i hate those Mercs & BMWs, or any big cars that take 2 lanes.. they use the divider line as indicator of centering... if you can't keep to your lane, dun drive big cars... esp from back we can see that they have no problem in that lane since its wide enough.

You know, reading through this thread, I'm really relieved that I'm not the only one who thinks that Merc drivers are like that!! I'm not saying all are like that. But I've had my fair share of the observations made here in this thread. They either road hog, take up both lanes and never signal. BMWs are those cars who try their best to siam you and don't really give you any bother on the road. Only this is some of them have very bright lights. Sometimes, it can be blinding and I loose sight for a few seconds. Really dangerous.

haha!! battle of the worst!

but i do argee with you too. singapore is nothing compared to china too. having spent there for 3 weeks, i miss singapore. why? i can never ever get a good sleep(i dun drive)! every second, the idiotic drivers blare their horns at the smallest things! so i think singapore is fine. regarding taxis drivers being hated ..................i think that's global(correct me if wrong, i haven't really travelled to alot of countries).

edit: oh, and the longest horn being blared during my china trip is 10 seconds!!!! was in hefei, china.

I feel a select group of harley riders have bad attitudes. But their ball shrank when i tailed them and they sped off like a coward. Well, just a select few who thinks they are great on an expensive, powerful bike.

The harley gangs i knew in usa & in canada are friendly and fun bunch. They may ride with guns, they dont bully on the roads as they ratter off on the street with throbbing exhaust sound. They are from different walks of life and I was surprised to learn that some are lawyers, doctors and one, my professor. They go on charity rides town to town to bring little presents to poor children. It is a summer lifestyle for leisure and not to bully any road user who hinders their path. This is the true hardley spirit which is seriously lacking in some rich & young execs here who just wannabe.

Taxi drivers, I feel, are forgivable since they are on the road 10 hrs a day and they are desperate for business. I once sat in a merc cab which drove like a mad horse. He told me he got no choice since his rental is very high and every seconds count. But i reminded him that driving that way only burn more diesel.

Otherwise, I would rate most road users in Singapore friendly and obedient.

Cheers

Shame on the orchard road WRX driver, high rev the car around traffic area machiam want to race with the evo and show off.

Shame shame, VROOM VROOM...alamak the car still there...PHZSEEEE PHZSEEE......alamak still have not change gear. Puit* In the end a ah pek riding bicycle overtake the car and laugh at the driver who kana stuck at jammed!

:bsmilie:

Apply to most....the KAYPOH drivers and they are the ones causing unnecssary jams during peak hours even when the accident cars is on the road shoulder!

They delibrately slow down to view the accident vehicles hoping to get 4D numbers....suddenly you see the traffic sudden ease off after the accident scene..

If they are concern for the accident victims to give a hand, just stop their car at the road shoulder and offer their assistance. Else better mind your own business and drive as normal.

Female driver!

Keep thinking where to turn and they just make turn anytime they like.

Ok what.....they learnt from taxi drivers. :bsmilie:

What's more scary is when they signal and immediately filter/turn like it is their right! OEI! I'm just beside you! No space you want to filter what - coffee ah?

this is not fair!

it's like judging the driver based on the vehicle they drive, much like a photographer and it's equipment..

all sorts of vehicles got the good and nasty driving, it's the action of the driver that causes disturbance..

personally i'm neutral with any road-user, but... particular i get very pissed if the light turn green and i'm behind a driver who doesnt signal right on a red-light junction, of course when i wanted to drive straight and block by inconsiderate moron..

you're lucky, wait till you meet the lady driver who's putting on make up while driving :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

In vietnam, you'll have a hairising experience trying to cross the road with a gazillion motobikes zipping past you. If you are a motorist there, you'll definitely get into an accident if you do not horn. Horning is a way of saying 'I'm here" or "excuse me"

Why not we think about ourself?

Sometimes we also make mistakes on the road. Most often, lucky enough not to have any accident.

But then??????????

Yes, most likely the other party will HATE YOU! CURSE YOU! F@#@ YOU!
Hahaha...and then you will make their story headline of the day among their friends, colleagues or family members ;)

Totally agreed with you

Most time when I make mistake on the road I'll raise my hand to signal that I'm sorry and I tell myself that I deserved it knowing full well the other driver will be cursing me ;p

But 1 thing's for sure, I don't drive and put on make up at the same time as I don't need make up in the first place :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

SAF drivers...young...imature...and reckless...

Even taxi drivers are better then them...

taxi drivers are skillful

i wish they drift as well

They do drift what!

1. They drift left, drift right as and when they like.
2. They drift in the middle of 2 lanes.
3. They drift immediately from the extreme right lane to the extreme left lane the second they spot customers, regardless of how many lanes and cars are in between.

You get my DRIFT? :bsmilie:
