Hi folks,

Just to do a check on how much you guys paid to do a manual focus screen change for your 5D / 7D by KMSC previously?

Thinking of doing it but missed the boat cos been busy the last week. Want to see if Sony now charges more for it...

nope... too bad... upgrade lor... or u wait til sony got a new cam, i can off load mine, preload with ML screen to you...

Trying to get the acute matte type... supposed to be really obvious when focused...

no lah. i think ML means the M (matte) screen and the L (grid) screen, 2 screens so 2 times the price. still, why cannot just make one matte screen with grids and charge er... $70? cheat money one...

no lah. i think ML means the M (matte) screen and the L (grid) screen, 2 screens so 2 times the price. still, why cannot just make one matte screen with grids and charge er... $70? cheat money one...

I didn't actually send my 7D to Minolta service center, as I am on ICT. So I sticked a note on my camera as my dad will pass by the service center that day. I wrote ML not knowing that it is 2 screen altogether.. that's why my 7D ended up with the grid screen + the M screen. :dunno:

Yah..that was the initial price. Guess what??? they willing to give discount since the center is closing down soon.

Anyway...the L is useful.. as for the super acute matte M ...I can't really tell the usefulness yet ..but I feel that the brightness of the viewfinder is slightly dimmer..

do you know where to buy a split image focusing screen for Minolta X-700.
i make a big mistake since i wash my screen with ethanol:cry: :cry: :cry: . now it is not bright as before.

. but mind is M, and they told me no need calibration, so i installed myself. and mine looks pretty focused.

me is if money can give me a peace of mind, then i just pay and treat it like its in perfect condition...
