Malaysia Airlines plane missing...

If there indeed is a conspiracy, by now the perps would have gotten what they wanted and the plane would suddenly show up as wreckage somewhere to "indicate" that it had crashed...

Agree, they only need 10 days. But they have to hide the black box if possible.

And if the perps are "connected" enough, have the ability to fake the data in the black box.

"A woman marched to the front of the hall demanding to know why she had to present her marriage certificate to prove her husband was on the plane, in order to get a room at the hotel.

"My husband was on board, and our relatives have had nowhere to stay for two days!" the woman shouted as other family members encouraged her to confront the airline official.

Amid angry exchanges one of her male relatives lunged aggressively at the neck of a man he believed to be an airline administrator, and another shouted: "What sort of person would pretend that their husband is on board the plane?"

Answer: _____________ ?

Answer : No one, unless the person escaped from IMH.

Frankly, under the media glare, why would anyone want to be found out to be lying & shown as a free loader? As a chinese & based on past experiences where people encounter tragedies, this is precisely the type of response one get if a person is accused in such a situation. In fact I would say the accuser is crazy, mad, or really insensitive & cruel. I think a calm & reasoned explanation of verification procedures with genuine concern & assistance would help in this instance.

As to the oft repeated claim of XXX minutes of fame in the media, what sort of fame or infamy one hope to gain? What popularity or fortune one hope to get, especially if one is obviously stressed, distraught, haggard, dishevelled, at wits end & look so "ugly"? Have you ever been in a situation where you are worried sick almost to the death over your loved ones, or get so frustrated that you want to really tear your hair out? The histrionics is just a calculated move to get the help of the media to pressure the authorities to act or explain. It's to demand for immediate answers even if there is unfortunately none available. They don't have the luxury of sitting behind a computer discussing, analysing & arguing over theories, conspiracies, etc over what happened, to show how knowledgable or intelligent one is on this for some.

Aiyah... Kah kee nang, pak see boh siang kang.

OZ spotted the two objects on Sunday.

OZ waited until 4 days later, on Thursday before it informed others.

By now the sea current would have carried the floating items great distances away from the spot shown in the satellite photo. Or they would have sunk.

Najib also promised that 'no stones will be left unturned' regarding the death of Teoh Beng Hock.
So this is the problem - Malaysia is used to stonewalling its own docile population; but in this MH370 case they cannot stonewall the international public.

The MAS official is not the suitable person to deal. He is applying red tape to mentally fend off a situation - to shoo off somebody.
This is unfortunate because the MAS CEO stated openly that MAS does not have a contingency planning consultant to deal with unexpected disasters like this MH370 case.

Asking for a marriage certificate as proof (to get a modest hotel room stay), in a life or death air crash situation is obviously stupid.

It is the duty and responsibility of the PRC Embassy & other PRC government agencies, to verify and screen the spouses of the MH370 passengers who were PRC citizens.

Once verified, the Malaysian authorities should coordinate their accommodation in Malaysia.

It should not be left to a clueless and bureaucratic fool representing MAS at the hotel.

Why do PRC people scream, shout, physically lunge at, demand vociferously? Why do they behave this way?
Because in PRC, that is the only way PRC ordinary folk (without powerful connections and who are not rich) get authorities to attend to them. It is crude and disgusting. Sometimes it is justified (as in this case of their outrage at the MAS official's demand to see a marriage certificate) - and sometimes it is NOT justified (when PRC people are just trying to take advantage of others).

I find all the antics of malaysia airlines be like "PR stunt". Since they can't solve it, might as well use this a publicity to the world that there's this place called Malaysia.

It's a pretty poor PR stunt, because everyone is noticing the poor governance now :bsmilie:

I think they enjoy the limelight. A crisis is an opportunity for politicians to become a heroes.
