Hi guys, how do your clean the lens of your LX3? Do we need some special solvent of just microfibre cloth will do?

normally i just use a microfibre cloth to wipe first then use a blower to finish up.

I juz bot the 46mm adaptor and the hoya uv filter(46mm), realise the original LX3 lens cover cannot fit? is there a lens cover that can do the job?

try OP at SLS, should have aftermarket 46mm lens cap.

can i just check with LX3 users, when pressing the delete/burst button, does your camera has any "electronic" sound? I tried the rest of the buttons, no sound except for pressing button sound, but my delete/burst button has the "electronic" sound. is it spoilt? my camera is on off sound mode.

can anyone help me? i don't really want to send my camera in to service centre if not necessary.. thanks. :cry:

Just checked mine. Turn off the beep volume and I playback my pics. During playback, pressed the delete/burst button. Final result: No sound at all...

Quicktime Player should be able to play the movies.

Default player for mov will be quicktime. Real player can play mov extensions too. I've tried window media player with CCCP but sorry they can't play

Best so far is VLC Media Player... free Plays almost everything.

will the 3rd party lens adaptor (eg. those sell in ebay that price range ~$10) with a standard filter affect the photo quality (eg. causing vignetting)? I'm planning to get cpl filter + lens adaptor...

orginal lens adaptor is about $40 where 3rd party only $10-30.

i am using firmware 1.3. are you using the same? I upgraded not long ago.

Hi fellows.

I was playing ard with the camera just now, trying out this setting:

unlimited burst mode + 2sec timer

After the 1st press on the shutter button, the camera delayed by 2sec (expected) and then kept on snapping (expected). But may I know how to terminate this timer-delayed burst mode "properly" ( I did it by forcing it into Playback mode, which I'm sure isn't the right way to do it)?
