shall write a short how-to abt this project.
1) You need a 35mm film canister, peep hole, scissors and a thumbtack

2) Unscrew the peephole so you get two pieces. One threaded piece and one cylinder.

3) Make a round hole on the bottom of the film canister. Try to make it just the size of the threaded part, slightly smaller than the fatter unthreaded part. If done right, the peephole should pop into place and you don't have to glue it down. If you made too big a hole, just glue the peephole onto the canister then.

4) Screw the cylinder back onto the peephole backwards such that the canister is 'sandwiched' so it won't accidentally fall off if you didn't glue it down.

5) I put some electrical tape on the inside of the canister so it would make a snug fit with my lens barrel. If the lens barrel is smaller, you could improvise with blue tack or even more electrical tape until you get the right fit.
6) Zoom in until the circle takes up the largest possible area of the photo. You might need to switch to macro mode for proper focussing.
the pics kinda dont work anymore..? =\
